How do I add flavorful images to my personal page without violating image copyrights? PieMan.EXE | Talk 18:48, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi! You can add any image from the Wikimedia Commons to your userpage without violating copyright. Just add it in the same way that you'd normally add an image. :) Stwalkerstertalk ] 19:24, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Can I upload personal art to my page? --PieMan.EXE MyPage | Exchange Words With Me 15:08, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

What exactly are you trying to do? edit

Hey,

I noticed that you keep creating articles with your user name. You already have a user page so I was just wonder what it is that your're trying to do. Your articles keep being deleted because, well, they're not articles. Drop me a line if I can help. Ciao.--Woland (talk) 20:21, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am trying to make a multi-tab Personal Page. PieMan.EXE | Talk 20:27, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh ok, well you need to start by not creating new pages but by editing your existing userpage. I'm not adept at this so I would look at this page. If you can't find what you need there then I would go to the community portal and try asking more experienced users. I would also recommend that you look through the links that were provided with the welcome template. Have fun. Ciao.--Woland (talk) 20:34, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree File:ChiEmeraldsPortal.jpg edit

An image that you uploaded or altered, File:ChiEmeraldsPortal.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. MBisanz talk 03:59, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

PieMan.EXE, please don't remove the template from this image page. It remains listed at WP:Possibly unfree images and ought to be reviewed. Thanks. – The Parting Glass 20:08, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

And at this playground, you can't get all churlish and close a discussion that you don't like, faking someone else's sig, to boot. It's dishonest and unproductive. It doesn't do anything to sway the discussion in your favor, and only serves to make you look like a jackass. I do not recommend this tactic. --Mosmof (talk) 01:56, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Mosmof (talk) 02:03, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images/2009 February 11, you will be blocked from editing. --Mosmof (talk) 14:59, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for leaving the message with me - it's not up to me to close the discussion. And part of releasing an image to public domain (and uploading to Wikipedia) means that you leave it up to other Wikipedia users to decide how useful it is to the project, and whether it should be kept or not. --Mosmof (talk) 19:17, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014 edit

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Proposed deletion of File:FlashingStar.gif edit

The file File:FlashingStar.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 13 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
