Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Nick Carter (musician). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. This is a contested edit. You've been undone three times, by two different editors. I've already asked you to discuss it on the article 's talk page. Per WP:BRD you should have done that after the first undo of your edit. Some of this has already been discussed on the article's talk page. Please read WP:EW. Meters (talk) 04:46, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Meters (talk) 07:38, 27 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nick Carter

edit

I actually have no interest in this topic & don't want to be involved in the conversation over at Nick Carter. However, I just reverted your edits while reviewing pending changes & I wanted to clarify process: If the request here is to build consensus, that means that you all should hash things out here on Talk before making the changes you're discussing to the page. Making improved changes before building consensus—even if done in the spirit of trying to address what you think people's concerns are—is not the same thing. WP:TALKDONTREVERT. Your argument concerning notability makes sense to me, but you've got to give the conversation time to play out. Pathawi (talk) 03:54, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

User:Pathawi Thank you, the conversation seemed to be stonewalling so I thought I was restarting the WP:BRD. I will aim to resolve this through discussion.Persianprince99 (talk) 04:26, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
You've got relatively few edits, but you seem to know something about process, so I'm guessing you've had an account before. Just in case you haven't: It's worth keeping in mind that Wikipedia operates at a slower pace than a lot of social media sites. Meters had replied to you that day. It seems likely that people who had been involved in the related conversation this past June might want to get involved. You should expect that it may take a day or more for people to reply to you. It's pretty common when there's been a dispute to allow a week for a discussion to play out, tho I don't think there's any real rule per se for informal Talk page discussions. (I could be wrong.) I think that most editors would not see a delay of a few hours as stonewalling, & would interpret a contested edit without consensus after that period of time to be a form of edit-warring. That doesn't appear to me to have been your intention, & I'm not trying to make that accusation: Just suggesting how I think some editors are likely to react. It's also a little unusual to request comments after such a brief conversation on the Talk page. In the future, I would recommend trying for Talk page consensus a few days longer before seeking outside opinions. Meters' reaction to your seeking additional input is a pretty common one.
I don't know where I'd come down in the end on the inclusion of these sexual assault allegations, but I do think that you've got a reasonable case. I just think a little more time with process will make the conversation go better. Take care! Pathawi (talk) 14:30, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
User:Pathawi Thanks for all your help. I am a new user but have had the basic processes pointed out to me fairly quickly so have been reading up on the guidelines.Persianprince99 (talk) 20:11, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page ABBA has been reverted.
Your edit here to ABBA was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed () is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.
