R. C. Bray

edit

I thought you might like some additional, unsolicited feedback about the article you wrote on R. C. Bray. I do not dispute for a moment my colleague Graeme Bartlett having passed the article for inclusion in Wikipedia. However, I have outlined below some of my comments on the sources below which may help you when creating more articles:

It's possible that the awards make him notable, but that depends on how important the awards are (the extent to which they are recognised in the literary world). Guidelines to read are WP:NAUTHOR, WP:RS, and WP:V. Hope this helps. Happy editing. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 19:31, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the feedback, it is very welcome!
I've removed the links to voices.com and the two audiobooks which don't add to the bio. I've removed the 2016 award, I didn't realise it was only a nomination.
The other comments relate to using primary sources, is it acceptable to keep the information from them until better sources can be found? I believe it should be ok from my understanding of WP:FACEBOOK and WP:BLPSELFPUB, apart from the awards section which I will attempt to find better sources for.
The Audie Awards should give notability, there is a quote in the wiki link stating they are "the Oscars of the audiobook industry" – Paul ·  13:24, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
I've updated the awards to be only where I could find a source and found some news articles from Forbes, The Guardian, Yahoo Finance. – Paul ·  14:10, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Kudpung: Sorry, I don't know if my previous replies notified you that I had replied, wikitext feels a very strange format to use for a forum!

Deletion pending for File:R. C. Bray - Headshot.jpg

edit

Hello, Paulmarsy. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:R. C. Bray - Headshot.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:36, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
