John Foulcher

edit

I have moved John Foulcher to User:Paulknight34b/sandbox. It will need links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources before it can survive in the (article) namespace. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:26, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Jean Kent, Australian Poet

edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Jean Kent, Australian Poet, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Jean Kent, Australia Poet. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 10:06, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jean Kent (poet)

edit

The article Jean Kent (poet) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:57, 19 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Lesley Lebkowicz

edit

Hello Paulknight34b,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Lesley Lebkowicz, may be copied from http://actwritersshowcase.com/Writers/L-O/Lebkowicz_Lesley.shtml. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 04:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you

edit

I wanted to thank you for creating new articles. I hope you don't take it personally that I nominated some of them for deletion. Wikipedia has to draw a line at including some content (per WP:NOT), and we all (myself included) can make mistakes (I've had some of my articles deleted for the same reasons too). Please keep up your good work, and remember that if an article you created is deleted, you can ask for it to be userfied so you can keep it in your sandbox and improve in the future if better sources are found to show proper notability. Cheers, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:45, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for your thoughtful message. I've not been through this process before, but I can see the spirit in which it is conducted and the focus on the greater good, so def. no hard feelings at all. I'm certainly not discouraged and will continue to contribute where I come across gaps and have information that seems worth throwing in. --Paulknight34b (talk) 05:04, 25 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Tim Cumming

edit

The article Tim Cumming has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As it is written, this fails WP:ARTIST notability criteria - no coverage in mainstream, reliable sources shown.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
