Football

edit

You made some changes to the article named Football which another editor has reverted. This article is about all forms of football, not just soccer. There are also articles about each different sport that describes itself as football. I hope this helps to explain why they reverted, removing your changes.Geofpick (talk) 13:14, 10 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for Informing Geofpick I Understand why he did that. Panchajanya5 (talk)

Overlinking

edit

Could you look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking especially the section Overlinking and underlinking. For example, here. The words animals and electricity are commonly understood and don't need to be linked. By the way words with s at the end should be linked like [[animal]]s giving animals. Also here there is no need to link United States. In fact a better edit would be to remove the Netherlands link plus several others in the lead. Cheers. Capitalization

edit

In English, common words such as "language" and "pause" are only capitalized if they are part of a title. cheers, Just plain Bill (talk) 13:18, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages (including user talk pages) such as Talk:President of the United States are for discussion related to improving (a) an encyclopedia article in specific ways based on reliable sources or (b) project policies and guidelines. They are not for general discussion about the article topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk, or the help desk, and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. - wolf 15:22, 3 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Mick Slocum (Singer) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Mick Slocum (Singer), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 1952 Copa del Generalísimo Juvenil

edit

I'm afraid the source you added to this article appears to be a mirror of the article itself, which is discouraged per WP:CIRCULAR, so I've removed it. If you are aware of a reliable independent source for the information in the article, then please do add that in its place. J11csd (talk) 12:22, 17 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
