An article that says someone has written books (other than self published) is an indication of importance This is much less than notability , and all that is necessary to pass speedy. . Checking, I found enough to show he is clearly quite notable, by both WP:CREATIVE and WP:PROF. DGG ( talk ) 05:15, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

And, btw, when you place a deletion tag on an article, it is necessary to say so specifically in the edit summary, to help other editors, and especially us overworked admins, identify it in the article history. DGG ( talk ) 05:17, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from File:Nash FM 94.7 Logo.png without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 06:11, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to File:WFME (FM) Logo.png with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Those articles are appropriately tagged. Jim1138 (talk) 06:13, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Yes, as a matter of fact I do know the policies, however I also know that a 200px image will do the same communication of an image as an 800px image, and that our WP:FAIRUSE guidelines usually only allow logo images as large as 400px in articles. And also because the station's site is festooned with trademark notes all over the place that the "N" element could actually be copyrighted and I don't want to take any chances, and universally WP:WPRS tags radio station logos using the non-free tag, even if they're typed out in Courier. Thus I have replaced the logo with the smaller original with a proper F-UR and asked for deletion of the larger image as a duplicate. Nate (chatter) 06:50, 24 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When tagging articles with {{db-a7}} (and its descendents), could you try and include a short description in the edit summary of why you think the tag applies? It will make it easier for admins going through the backlog of CSDs to determine whether or not the deletion is appropriate. Also, it's a good idea to do a quick news and book search for the article's subject online to see if there's any possibility the article could be improved to a notable state - CSDs are for articles that are impossible to improve.
