Speedy deletion nomination of U.S. intervention in the El Salvador Civil War edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on U.S. intervention in the El Salvador Civil War requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your article edit

Hi, Oholland9619. I've deleted your page on the U.S. intervention in the El Salvador Civil War because it may duplicate the current article on the El Salvador Civil War. I would have moved it to your sandbox but I see that you already have a copy of it at Draft:U.S. Intervention within El Salvador's Civil War. And that is the place where you should work on it before placing in Wikipedia main space. In it's current state, there are standard problems with it. (For example, all statements need to be referenced to reliable sources using inline citations. Also, personal opinion or commentary to readers is not permitted per WP:NPOV.) I would suggest using the WP:Article wizard when creating an article. It will help you avoid some of the pitfalls of encyclopedic writing. If you have questions, please ask. Good luck with your editing. CactusWriter (talk) 00:24, 30 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about U.S. Intervention within El Salvador's Civil War edit

Hello, Oholland9619,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether U.S. Intervention within El Salvador's Civil War should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/U.S. Intervention within El Salvador's Civil War .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
