December 2018 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Moxy (talk) 04:04, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Student assignments edit

Student assignments should always be carried out using a course page set up by the instructor. It is usually best to develop assignments in your sandbox. After evaluation, the additions may go on to become a Wikipedia article or be published in an existing article.--Moxy (talk) 05:13, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Nw510510 reported by User:Moxy (Result: ). Thank you. Moxy (talk) 05:24, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Nw510510. The content you keep trying to add to our article about Eritrea is badly formatted, and many parts of it are not verifiable. It is also too detailed for that article. Since you have persisted in adding this, I have protected the page. Please discuss this content on the talk page of the article, or reach out to one of the resources above for help (Shalor (Wiki Ed), or the teahouse). Please also note that repeatedly adding content when you've been told that there are problems with it is disruptive, and that you may be blocked for it; if someone undoes an edit of yours, you need to discuss it with them and try to reach a consensus. Nw510510, when your content is removed it is incredibly, incredibly important that you not re-add the material and instead discuss the content removal on the article's talk page. You can also contact me and I can help with the discussion or just give you feedback on your content. Persistently adding the content back is not well received and is seen as disruptive, which is why we discourage it in our training modules. Please contact me if you have any questions. Women in Eritrea edit

Hi there! I'm just letting you know that I noticed that you made a few attempts to move this article to some new titles. Each attempt you made created some redirects that weren't necessary, so I renamed the article to be Women in Eritrea (a neutral title that well-describes the subject matter) and fixed those redirects for you. I also fixed some formatting and section header issues, as well as added a reference section, the necessary reference template, and fixed a few references and small issues on the article for you. I hope you're doing well and that you have a fun and stress-free holiday season. Good luck with your class! Hope my edits help! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:02, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Women in Eritrea edit

Thanks for creating Women in Eritrea.

A New Page Patroller Doomsdayer520 just tagged the page as having some issues to fix, and wrote this note for you:

Thanks for your new article on Women in Eritrea. Note that some of the footnotes have missing information, as can be seen by the red text in the list of references at the bottom. I also recommend more sources to verify some statements made in the article, especially concerning gender roles in education and agriculture.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can reply over here and ping me. Or, for broader editing help, you can talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
