Capitalization of headings

The Wikipedia style for capitalizing headings is to use "sentence case" instead of "title case", e.g.,

This may be unfamiliar to many editors who believe that or have been taught that "title case is the right way to capitalize headings". It isn't the "right way", it is one style. Wikipedia has, for better or worse, chosen to follow a different style, i.e., capitalize the heading the same way you would capitalize any sentence:

• capitalize the first word,
• capitalize any proper nouns (people, places, organizations), and
• begin all other words with lower case letters.

Also, please note that WP:MSH says:

"Headings should not explicitly refer to the subject of the article, or to higher-level headings, unless doing so is shorter or clearer (Early life is preferable to His early life when his refers to the subject of the article; headings can be assumed to be about the subject unless otherwise indicated)."

So in an article about, for example, the Montana Democratic Party, a section about chairmen of the party should be headed "Chairmen", not "Chairmen of the Montana Democratic Party". The latter form is longer than it needs to be, because we can assume that a list of chairmen in an article about the MDP is not referring to chairmen of the Communist Party of China, or another organization. • Please stop using the incorrect capitalization of headings. I've tried to explain the Wikipedia style to you above. If there is anything that you don't understand about WP:MSH, please feel free to ask instead of continuing to make these unnecessary errors. Also, when making the plural form of a noun , e.g., "officials", it is incorrect to put the "s" in parentheses. If there is more than one of a thing, then you just add the "s" to the end of the noun without parentheses. If there is only one, then you leave the "s" off. Putting the "s" in parentheses is something that it only appropriate for legal documents. It is inappropriate for Wikipedia, which is written in plain English to be read by average readers, as opposed to lawyers. Please accept that the Wikipedia community has adopted a certain style to apply to Wikipedia articles. Ignoring Wikipedia style and using your own style instead is disruptive. State legislators' Infoboxes

Hi. Thanks for your edit to Al McAffrey, including adding his senate service to the infobox. In case you're not aware, the infobox has specific parameters for state legislators, which ensure a consistent format across all articles in keeping with our Manual of Style. For state reps, you can use state_house=Oklahoma and district=88th to automatically display "Member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from the 88th district", for example. For state senators, it's state_senate=California. Where lower houses are called assemblies or houses of delegates, use state_assembly=Wisconsin or state_delegate=Virginia, for example.
