US-131
editI removed the following statement that you added to the article because it had no basis in fact (and, grammatically, it had problems as well): "There has been plans to redesignate U.S. 131 between Grand Rapids and where it will possibly connect to I-75 as Interstate 67 as much of U.S. 131 is up to Interstate highway standards." Indeed, this statement contracts other statements in the article which state MDOT is NOT persuing an Interstate designation for the corridor -- it never has and there is no indication it ever will. Please do not make up information that is not true. If I am not mistaken, you (under one or more other handles) have been chastised for this type of thing in the past with reference to articles on highways in Michigan. Willy on Wheels
editPlease don't post on the WP:ViP/WoW page when you think WoW has "taken over your account." From the looks of things, you added a link to Willy on Wheels on World of Warcraft and got a single complaint over it, which isn't anything to fret over...let alone create a new account and post on the WP:ViP page with. Let alone on Jimbo's talk page.
If anything, your actions make you look more like Willy now than before...and if you are, I bet you're having fun with the system now that you have to play by the rules :)
Also, if you looked at the deletion history, you might think that someone had tried to make a redirect to VIP:WoW...and failed just a few times...just FYI.
Reply about Willy on Wheels
editWell, since somebody messaged me about an edit that I would honestly never make, and looked in "my contributions" in the SuperDude username, I figured that Willy was trying to take over legitimate usernames to circumvent security. And since the article that was edited had the same initials as Willy; it might of meant that Willy was trying to edit articles using his initials. I am innocent. --Nintendude 03:38, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
- If you think somebody stole your account (can you still log into it?), you might find more success with getting help on many levels by posting at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents...which seems more geared for your situation. Post there with your complaint/situation and you'll get lots of people ready to help you out. :) Adam Rock 03:42, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

{{lowercase-Apple}}
editWikiProject Macintosh is currently debating whether or not to adopt {{lowercase-Apple}} over {{lowercase}}. You may wish to join the discussion under a heading similar to this one and explain why you created this template which some of us find useless.--HereToHelp (talk) 13:08, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- Nintendude, please recognize that this is your second bulletin from WikiProject Macintosh. We have been debating whether or not to adopt {{lowercase-Apple}}, and the unanimous consensus is to revert all uses of the template and delete it, along with the category associated with it. If you have any comments on this decision PLEASE make them heard on our [[Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Macintosh#{{lowercase-Apple}}|talk page]]. If you do not comment in 24 hours, we will put {{lowercase-Apple}} up for deletion. Thank you for your cooperation.—t-bte288-c 21:15, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
- On one hand, you finally responded to our query, but your answer begs the question "Is it necessary to have such a template, even if Apple does have a bunch of products that it could be used for?" I really don't mean to harass you but considering you're the only user of your opinion, you should probably defend it. Or, if you like, you can concede that the template serves no purpose in identifying articles as Apple-related and allow us to delete it. That doesn't mean that you were wrong in creating it, though—all you did was be bold. --HereToHelp (talk) 21:35, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

List of common misnomers
editHi. I just wanted to let you know I nominated your article, List of common misnomers, for deletion. I did this because the article Misnomer already includes a pretty complete list of misnomers. I recommended that any of your items that are not already on that list be moved there. I thought you might want to join in the discussion. Thanks. -- Vary | Talk 04:42, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Moving Super Mario Bros.
editA lot of us watching the page would like to know why you moved the page and made a disambig. without discussing it on the talk page. Also, were you the one who moved Nintendo Entertainment System earlier today? --Ntg 08:16, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't move Nintendo Entertainment System, however I was trying to disambiguate SMB.
- I can see that; my point is you should have discussed it on the talk page. I don't think most people see the need for a dsambig. --Ntg 08:32, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- If you wanted to disambiguate, a better solution would have been to leave Super Mario Bros. where it was, and to have created an entirely new page called "Super Mario Bros. (disambiguation)". This is what is usually done when one use of the word or phrase is heavily dominant. In any case, when making a move of this importance, you should discuss it on the talk page or bring it up with WP:CVG first. --Pagrashtak 21:37, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Dirty Mexican Sanchez
editHi Nintendude... you moved Dirty Sanchez to Dirty Mexican with an edit summary of "ambiguous subject"... By that did you mean that Dirty Sanchez could also mean the band? In that case, the solution would be a disambiguation page if and when a page for the band Dirty Sanchez is made (and anyway, Dirty Mexican also (or primarily) means the drink, so its ambiguous too.)
At any rate, since 1) my quick Google search finds "Dirty Sanchez" as coming up pretty soon for the sex thingy, while four pages into "Dirty Mexican" I don't find any reference to the sex thingy, and 2) the body of the article still talks about "Dirty Sanchez", what do you think? I was thinking about moving it back, unless you have references or whatever that I don't know about... thx. Herostratus 06:33, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- yeah, that was an insane move, dude. fix it back. what a waste of time. 63.28.64.93 14:57, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- That kind of tone is uncalled for. Herostratus 07:24, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- I agree that it should be moved back. ApolloCreed 04:10, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
No, it was OK to make the move, especially since you created a disambig page. Your reasoning makes sense and it was the right thing to do -- you had to rename it to something to make the disambig page. So don't worry. I did, however, rename it to Dirty Sanchez (sex) (and changed the disambig page to match. Does that seem fair? Herostratus 07:24, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Please don't move pages like this, with long edit histories and an extensive Talk page archive, without consensus. User:Zoe|(talk) 04:04, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
I have written a comment on the List of notable Newgrounds flash clips talk page that you may wish to reply to. The article has since been changed to a redirect to Newgrounds. To be honest with you, I agree with making it a redirect, but if you write a well-reasoned contrary argument on this talk page, it wound be a great first step toward it's establishment as an article. If you decide to do so, it would help your argument if you based it on the ideas in neutral point of view, verifiability and no original research. — ApolloCreed (comment) (talk) 04:19, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
If you remember, I nominated Super Monkey Poop Fight for deletion. I've just now noticed you have written up another flash game article. A "Daily Feature" award at newgrounds does not make it notable, or we'd have thousands of articles about random flash movies. A google search for excitebike "trouble on the tracks" gives 40 hits. What kind of search are you doing? Please, just because it's you like flash, and it's one of your favourites, doesn't mean it is notable enough for an encyclopedia article. - Hahnchen 07:24, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Moving Korn
editDid you consult the talk page at all before you moved the article? Did you even think? It was at Korn not just because the band's name, at Amazon, in CD catalogue's and in their own liner notes is spelt 'Korn', but because older browsers really choke up when they see the cyrillic character in the URL. Talk is good. Dead 22:38, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
I see this isn't your first warning about moving a prominent page without an attempt to gather a consensus. Before moving a page with an extensive page history, please discuss the move on its talk page beforehand. In the case of Eminem, you've additionally made an edit at the article's original location almost immediately after move, which makes moving the page back more difficult (it must now be done by an admin). Stylistic usage of an artist's name on their albums/promotional material does not dictate what the article should be called, you may want to read Wikipedia:Naming conventions, especially the summary below:
- Generally, article naming should give priority to what the majority of English speakers would most easily recognize, with a reasonable minimum of ambiguity, while at the same time making linking to those articles easy and second nature.
In addition, your proposed article name of "EMINEM" does not particularly correspond to the stylistic usage. The usage on his albums is "EMIN∃M", which does not look right when typed, since the reverse E is the symbol for Existential quantification, not an actual letter, and its usage in the page title may cause problems with some browsers. In any case, the point is moot, since using it is equivalent to using a company logo for the wiki article title. --Aramգուտանգ 08:12, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Please consider carefully what to make articles about
editI just deleted an article you made, SMP Films. I see from the talk page it looks like similiar things have happened before. Just because something is on the net, doesn't mean we have an article about it. Random songs or cartoons don't get articles just by existing, here we need verifiability at the absolute minimum. So, basically, a topic that's not covered by a reliable source generally shouldn't have an article about it. Hope that helps. Friday (talk) 21:55, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Moving Dodge Rampage

Why delete the list of rock instrumentals?
editHello. I was a little shocked today at your proposal to delete the List of rock instrumentals page. I don't feel very enlightened about it, so I decided to let you a note. I do not agree and the reason for your decision feels irrelevant to me.
You thought of subjectivism as the main problem with the page, but that's just wrong. Maybe you consider adding-pretty-obscure-bands'-songs-to-the-list-just-because-of-some-user's-passion-towards-them a little subjective. It ain't that, because an ideal encyclopedia should contain such lists as broad as possible, so that anyone consulting them should be likely to find things one's interested in.
I remember the time when I had to navigate through the whole discography by Rush in order to find some instrumental whose name I didn't know. A list like this would have been very useful to me at that time. Now I have another instrumental which was used as a 'signal' for a radio programme a few years ago. I was very excited when I discovered the list and started doing some research, hoping that I may find it in here.
Please think twice. It's a list built by passionate people, and I think a good encyclopedia can't dispense with such persons. Alternatively, let me know if a major cleanup, i.e. removing less known bands would rather keep this list alive. For instance, I added Horslips on the list, which is the first Celtic rock band ever. They are best known in Ireland and UK and less known or appreciated in US and mainland Europe. As they are not very known, I could remove them, in spite of their role in history. I won't harm your deletion tag until I'll have your answer. Please hurry, as the five-days ultimatum is quite short. Go to my talk page. Impy4ever 10:00, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Andrew Shaw page move
editCan you please revert this page move? First of all, it causes confusion to Move a page in the middle of an AfD discussion. Secondly, we do not need a disambiguation page for a high-school player who is, at best, a few years away from getting an article. If the football player becomes notable, a disambiguation can be created then. Fan1967 21:06, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Your lists of songs
editYou may want to take a look at today's AfD. Several of your articles have been nominated for deletion. I nominated two myself. It may be a good idea for you to be a bit more prudent when creating articles. It's not a good thing to create articles that are destined to be sent to AfD. Brian G. Crawford 03:44, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- To clarify, many of your lists are extremely obscure and group together generally unrelated songs. The purpose of lists is to provide information about a distinct and recognisable group of topics, not a collection of topics with a tenuous connection at best. —Cuiviénen (talk•contribs), Wednesday, 10 May 2006 @ 13:08 UTC
