Hey Nimmo

edit

Appreciate the detail you added in Jan. Hope you agree that now we have an article that looks like a proper Wiki acticle in its layout. Are you a relative of the real Nimmo ? Something gave me this feeling. If so do you have any information on his WWI service and deeds. It would be great to round the article out with same.Sticks66 04:11, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Harry / Hugh

edit

Please could you reference the source that states his name is harry next to his name, as I have referenced his name as Hugh. If you need to challenge a factually incorrect reference it would be best to cite. I really don't care what his name was, I just have a reference that states Hugh. If you have one that states Harry, please use it. Thanks FruitMonkey (talk) 16:50, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi Nimmo, thanks for getting in touch. I didn't mean to be pedantic with the naming, but I was, so I'm happy to let your cite stand. The whole point about Wikipedia is that you create articles and then let them go, but sometimes it is hard to, especially if they get vandalised (not your constructive edits, I mean Wikivandals). Your comments about Sivright are also growing in strength. Most books state that he broke his leg, but I think this may be misinformation from an early report. Sivright was a notorious thug and marching his men off the pitch sounds like his doing rather than stand in captain Dr. Teddy Morgan, who appears to be a fairly honest and well liked chap. This is why after one revert your work seemed more in-line with the truth, and I stopped hacking at the captaincy issue. Keep probing, your doing a grand job. • It is sounding increasingly unlikely that he broke his leg. The [British Lions website] goes even further, reporting that Sivright is playing matches with no more than a few week's gap. But I've found the Lions website sometimes inaccurate. Could be they are bang on with this one, as they tally up with both the North District game and the Waratahs encounter.
