Speedy deletion nomination of File:FFD's IVA Space Suit.jpeg edit

A tag has been placed on File:FFD's IVA Space Suit.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 19 May 2005, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Space suit edit

See wp:images. Images must not be copyrighted as they will become essentially public domain after uploading. Generally, images must be yours or released with a ShareAlike license, etc. Wikipedia takes copyright seriously. See license and commons:Special:UploadWizard. I don't believe that your "not for commercial use" on File:FFD's IVA Space Suit.jpeg is acceptable and will tag it for deletion. - It appears someone beat me to it.
Make sure what you are adding is not wp:PROMOTIONAL, also, if you are associated with please read wp:COI.
Avoid adding wp:BAREURLs and use a wp:template such as {{cite web}} (see at top of edit box "Cite" and select Templates. Make sure that the links support the article and don't fall under wp:spam. If you have any questions, I recommend asking at the wp:teahouse Cheers and welcome. Jim1138 (talk) 19:42, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

You could crop and reduce the image size, thereby making it less attractive for commercial use. I would recommend uploading the image to Creative Commons (see above). If you add a "{{db-author}} (leave out nowiki stuff) to the top of the image page, it would be much simpler for the admin and the result would be the same. (struckout - db-author doesn't apply - my apology) Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:46, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

I formatted the photo. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:46, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

English and metric edit

One can use the wp:template template:convert to display English American and metric units. For instance on Suitport, you added "10 pounds". As many readers don't do English American units, I added the convert template: {{convert|10|lbs|kg|abbr=on}} generates: 10 lb (4.5 kg). It works with a large number (but not all) units, including area, volume, mass, velocity, etc. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 21:23, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please, do communicate? edit

It's nice to hear back from people when one is giving advice. See wp:notifications (tricky). Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 21:24, 17 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for the corrections. I did not find how to respond you and say thank you!!!
