Speedy deletion of Nomi Deutch

edit

A tag has been placed on Nomi Deutch requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Nomi Deutch, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 06:03, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Nomi Deutch. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Steve Crossin (talk) 06:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok sorry!

AfD nomination of Nomi Deutch

edit

An editor has nominated Nomi Deutch, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nomi Deutch and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Since the article asserts notability, I declined the speedy as the reviewing administrator. However,you need to show why you in particular are notable by reference to articles of other publications about you and your work. Undergraduate honors in college are not really relevant to notability. Being director of the organization may not be enough unless you can show more clearly that it is a very notable group. Please also be aware of WP:COI. Expect that the article will be nominated for regular deletion, though not by me. DGG (talk) 14:12, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
