Speedy deletion nomination of False Pro edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on False Pro requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. December 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Angry Video Game Nerd has been reverted.
Your edit here to Angry Video Game Nerd was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_aXcH1zDEE) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 04:06, 3 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Since the bot didn't explain the main problem with your edit, I might as well do that. You see you are giving information about one episode of the AVGN, this is an article about the AVGN show in general, so this detail doesn't really belong to the article. Fleshing this out a bit, it seems you're one of the founders of this company. Please see WP:COI and [{WP:PROMO]] for why this it's inappropriate for you to create or edit articles about your own business. For a business to be included on Wikipedia it must meet WP:NOTABILITY which must be substantiated by reliable sources. Blogs, YouTube videos, self-edited SoundCloud pages, and the like don't count. Verifiable third party independent news sources are required. JamesG5 (talk) 00:56, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Nathan398: In case the article's talk page is deleted before you see it, you posted I believe that this brand should get more recognition than it is getting. I think the page should stay up because it gives a better understanding of the brand. I also put a lot of work into this. Unfortunately that's not the purpose of Wikipedia. See WP:PROMO at Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, specifically section 5 Advertising, marketing or public relations. See also the note I put on your talk page about WP:COI. Following up again in case the page is deleted
You said Ok so what do I do to change the wikipedia page or my profile so this doesn't get taken down. See the links I posted on your talk page about establishing notability using reliable sources. Unfortunately it doesn't look like you'll be able to do that, from your own description the company is basically something you & your friends have talked about online & made plans to do things, but haven't actually done anything yet. So with no accomplishments and no significant outside coverage it's doubtful you can make the standard. That's not an insult, just an observation. My suggestion would be to focus on building the company & increase its awareness on social networking platforms where promotion is allowed. When you make it big, someone will make a page for the company... but when that happens you shouldn't be involved in it. JamesG5 (talk) 01:37, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Nathan398: On the talk page of your recreated article you said The other admin told me that I had to show the accomplishments on the page and I think getting a youtuber with a million subs is an worthey achievement. To rephrase what I told you before, if "people need to know" about something, that means that thing probably has not yet achieved the prominence to be here. YouTube subs are not necessarily a noteworthy achievement by Wikipedia standards unless (as was explained before) there is significant third party coverage (with accompanying reliable sources to support that to show WP:NOTABILITY. Self references on YouTube and a few blog sites don't cut it. Moreover, as was also explained, per WP:COI you should not be creating articles about, or editing articles about, your own ventures. April 2016 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with False Pro. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. reddogsix (talk) 02:48, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Screenwave Media edit

Hello Nathan398,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Screenwave Media for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vinod 03:26, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Widr (talk) 20:23, 4 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
