Speedy deletion nomination of User:NancySergeant/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:NancySergeant/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. creffett (talk) 19:31, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Deleted article

edit

Hello, while I did see your comment on the talk page of the article which was recently deleted, I'm afraid it needed to be deleted regardless. The first reason did have to do with copyright. Wikipedia can only accept copied material if it is clearly, on the site it originates from, released under a Creative Commons Attribution and/or ShareAlike license, or a similarly free license. However, in this case, that would not have made any difference, as the material was very promotional. Wikipedia content must be neutral, and promotion of anyone or anything, even good causes, is not permitted. Articles should stick to facts confirmed by reliable and independent published sources. Also, as I advise any editor with content removed for promotion, if you are being paid or compensated to edit Wikipedia, including being asked or expected to do so as a duty of employment or internship, that is permitted, but only if it is disclosed as outlined here. I hope that helps to clarify things. Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:47, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
