KGCN (FM)

First off, thanks for the piping correction on the "Missing U.S. radio station articles‎" page. My goof there :)

Second, there are a couple God's Country Radio Network‎ affiliates that are essentially redirects that aren't listed on the "Missing U.S. radio station articles‎" page. WCGQ, WGCN, KGCM, and KGCE are all not listed. Since they are essentially redirects, should they be listed or not? - NeutralHomer • Talk • 00:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

No sweat. I created a dab for it and the airport while I was mucking around too. As for the other redirects, it depends. If the network set up the stations themselves and they're only ever been rebroadcasters, probably not necessary — there really wouldn't be anything to put in an article if they don't have local programming. If they were an existing station that hooked up with network, but have some independent history, I'd add them to the list.

Possible Category problem

An anon user has been tagging some radio station pages with a category by radio frequency (see here for an example). In the linked case, I reverted but there are other cases. Should I revert all and nom the categories for deletion or leave them as is? - NeutralHomer • Talk • 03:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Darn...I am getting slow :) I just noticed the edit to WELK a couple hours ago. I think linking the frequency in the infobox to the frequency page (like 94.7 FM) would be good, but not a category. Afan FM

Thanks Mlaffs - I don't know that much about the new Afan FM Aberystwyth station, only from their facebook group and the developement of their website. When the station becomes more widely known and licensed, then prehaps it could have its own article. Thanks very much for your help. RE: Gun and bullets

The ten small metallic objects appearing in the image in question are actually cartridges, not bullets. I realize this is a fairly common mistake, but as you can see from their respective articles, the two items are actually quite different. If I were to load my gun with just the bullets, it would not function very well. --Chimro (talk) 02:36, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

List of Toronto Blue Jays seasons

As I said, I won't withhold support because one issue is left unchanged (perhaps unresolved was a poor choice of words on my part), but it does make me inclined to temper my backing. I do disagree with you on which method is better, and Dabomb87 seemed to indicate that he would back the change, leading me to give a weak support. I'll expand my comment at FLC to reflect this. BBC News (8:00pm Summary)

An anon user is creating a page for the BBC News (8:00pm Summary) with virtually no content, just an infobox. I have reverted the page several times to the redirect to BBC News, only to have the page changed back. I even resorted to issuing a Warn1 Warning for vandalism after the fourth revert. I don't think I can do that. I don't have a lot of experience with this stuff yet — still getting my admin feet wet — but it's really a content dispute, not vandalism. I don't think the article would be eligible for speedy deletion if it was created, although I suspect it'd fail at AfD. Given that, protecting the redirect would seem like a no-no. Word of advice though, if I can? You and the anon editor are both at five reverts and you could both end up getting blocked, although not by me; I don't think that's the best way of resolving the situation at this point. You're probably best to disengage at two — I'd actually disengage and try discussion with the other editor at one, but that's me. I'm going to leave a note for anon editor regarding this too. It looked like you were away, so I asked another admin and they protected it for 24 hours. It looked like the page had been created previously and moved from mainspace to another user's userspace, hence the redirect. KBMQ

Hi. In response to your message on my talk page:

I noticed that the KBMQ disambiguation page lists one radio station and one airport, yet instead of using {{disambig}} which adds it to Category:Disambiguation pages, you used {{disambig|callsign}} which also adds it to Category:Broadcast call sign disambiguation pages. I thought it made sense to follow that same logic and add the "airport" parameter/category by using {{disambig|callsign|airport}}. As for the description on the page Category:Airport disambiguation, it was incorrect and has been updated. A better explanation of the category usage can be found at Template:Airport disambig. Missing radio stations script

Hi,

Wasn't there a script someone created a while back for missing radio stations? Not just the template you have but a script that actually filled out all the call letter info and links to radio Locater, the FCC, etc. User:MrRadioGuy ^{What's that?/What I Do/Feed My Box} 01:30, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

KZEY AfD

User:Aliveatoms has created an AfD on station KZEY, in a pointed attempt to irritate a situation with User:RadioFan. Apparently RadioFan nom'd a page made by Aliveatoms for deletion. Aliveatoms actions are the subject of an ANI post. Would it be possible (if not, that's cool) to speedy keep the AfD on KZEY? I have warned Aliveatoms about making pointed AfDs already, just don't feel confortable closing the AfD at this point. - NeutralHomer • Talk • 04:42, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Articles You've Started

Good to see you getting into the article creation form of radio stations. If you need any templates on creating them (so they are have a standard look) let me know. Just beware, creating articles gets to become a little addictive and after awhile your list grows from 4 to 276 and requires it's own page :) It is fun though. Let me know if you need any help. No, I think you're right — I've noticed that some LP stations report and others don't. I've noticed that I specifically can't find LP stations that share a base call sign with an FM station. KJCD is full power, though, so it ought to be there. There isn't even a "we haven't received a report" page, which I think suggests they've never reported. Mlaffs (talk) 13:19, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

RussBot lists

I'm pretty sure that as of this month the 02 and 03 RussBot lists are redundant and obsolete. Thanks to the hard work of a lot of people (yourself high on that list) there are only two pages worth now, 00 and 01. I'm not sure how we go about getting these other pages deleted but they along with the 2007 and 2008 lists are chock full of false redlinks. - Dravecky (talk) 05:18, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

I guess for the older lists, it'd probably be a matter of asking User:R'n'B if he thinks there's a reason they ought to be kept around, or have they been completed supplanted by the newer lists. If they're not needed, then he could always request a db-user on them (or even delete them himself, as I believe he's an admin). For the newer set of them, including those broadcasting pages, I believe he did them based on a request from User:BD2412, so you might want to involve him in any deletion discussion too. I honestly wasn't sure what had been going on with that most recent of broadcasting pages, as I've noticed lately that any updates I've made I've had to do on two pages for the same template. I just wandered by here by accident, and see I'm being talked about. :-) The 02 and ...03 lists are indeed redundant and outdated.
