Image in Hyderabad, India

Good day, Well that's a good idea, any way, I am not against placing Images, as the block editor has propagated against me, but the only reason what worries is, tomorrow some other user may stand and ask to replace the image with the street or locality which they like/prefer. regards --Omer123hussain (talk) 15:21, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

JNNURM

Thanks for assessing my contributions to the article. I'll try and cite more sources and expand the article with more content. But I am completely stumped with the table comment. I know its too large but do you think I should shorten it? But then it would become inaccurate. Am referring to grading of C from stub for the article, JNNURM. Some tips regarding what I can do to at-least be adjudged A quality would be really nice. --Debastein1 (talk) 18:07, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

I guess I should have been more clear: The contents of the table are perfectly fine, but the alignment and the size of the cells need to be fine tuned. You could probably work with a left alignment and smaller cells, without a compromise on the data. Also, it would be good if you could find some pictures of JNNURM work going on (I'll try and click some in Bangalore, there is a hell lot of JNNURM work which is unfinished ;) ) Lynch7 18:11, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
A class is quite far away though, but JNNURM is an article which has the media coverage and depth with which A class, or even FA class is certainly possible. It'll be an extremely remarkable achievement for the India education program if you succeed in getting it to GA, A or FA. Keep the good work going :) Lynch7 18:14, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I was planning to first add more content, as in create sub-sections as to the prevalence and progress of the programme in the major cities. After that possibly add some criticism aspects to maintain the neutrality. Problem is the sources seem to be a bit lacking. I understand the pictures concept. I'll click some in Pune if I get a chance, but I dnt get the alignment issue, do you want me to align the tables to the left or the content of the article in particular?? Currently, I've assigned a central alignment in case of the data in the tables.Debastein1 (talk) 18:19, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I feel its better if the tables are aligned left. Will help you out if you have any problems there.
I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble finding newspaper articles concerning this (after all, Indian media loves to bash up government sponsored schemes). A google news search or a Hindu archives search would probably help. Lynch7 18:22, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I'll do one thing...Let me slowly add the data I mentioned and expand the article data-wise. Currently I expanded it only table-wise. Then once I'm pretty certain that I have put in enough data, I'll revert back to you to help me with the formatting. Thanks for the idea of the news sources, hadn't thought of that. But the problem lies in the fact that you mentioned, almost all of the work is still unfinished. I'll still cover as much as I can. Give me some time, and I'll revert back to you for the formatting and reassessment. Not sure of the FA or GA, status, but I think I can build an A-class at least. Along with your help, lets see what can be accomplished. Thanks a bunch again. --Debastein1 (talk) 18:31, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
You'll have to pass through GA to get to an A :) Good luck! Lynch7 18:36, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
Will try my best, thanks...Debastein1 (talk) 19:01, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Ah, I guess you're referring to the templates placed. Lynch7 18:10, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey

I've reverted the guy because he is a sock of one user who is permanently blocked. This last time, I've reverted him because I was sure his edit again would consist of slanders against me (as the previous one). I should have looked before reverting so I'm sorry. As for the film, I removed it because no sources were cited. Now that I see it on the net, I personally am still not compelled to re-add it because it seems that it is not yet confirmed. Thank you. ShahidTalk2me 19:07, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Ah, I guessed there was some history to it. Well, yes I don't see any big media reports for the film, but then, small films don't get a lot of media reports do they? The TOI report seems to be quite genuine, what do you think? Lynch7 19:13, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Well, whether small or big, if it's Rani Mukerji, then it must get sufficient coverage. I say if there is a quote by Rani herself confirming her involvement with the project, then it's worth adding. ShahidTalk2me 19:25, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Seems fine to me. One has to be careful with media reports about films I guess. Lynch7 19:29, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Update on courses and ambassador needs

Hello, Ambassadors!

I wanted to give you one last update on where we are this term, before my role as Online Facilitator wraps up at the end of this week. Already, there are over 800 students in U.S. classes who have signed up on course pages this term. About 40 classes are active, and we're expecting that many more again once all the classes are up and running.

On a personal note, it's been a huge honor to work with so many great Wikipedians over the last 15 months. Thanks so much to everyone who jumped in and decided to give the ambassador concept a try, and double thanks those of you who were involved early on. Your ideas and insights and enthusiasm have been the foundation of the program, and they will be the keys the future of the program.

Courses looking for Online Ambassadors

Still waiting to get involved with a class this term, or ready to take on more? We have seven classes that are already active and need OA support, and eleven more that have course pages started but don't have active students yet. Please consider joining one or more of these pods!

Active courses that really need Online Ambassadors:

Courses that may be active soon that need Online Ambassadors:

Regarding AFD

Hey regarding this Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/M.A.Padmanabha_Rao when can we expect any decision ? That guy has contacted me via Facebook and is bent upon keeping this article, I tried to explain him a lot about all policies which I can, I also asked him to post on this AFD's discussion, he is bent upon creating this article. Rangilo Gujarati (talk) 19:43, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Usually its 7 days. Tell him that its somewhat OK to put it on his userpage or something, but not really as a WP article. Lynch7 19:49, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
Seems like he's an old man, and won't be quite receptive. If his work becomes notable, then it'll automatically get an entry in WP. He need not have to struggle for that. Lynch7 19:58, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

IRC cloak request

Hello MikeLynch. You recently applied for a Wikimedia IRC cloak, but it looks like you forgot to register your nickname (MikeLynch-sgrao) first. Could you please log on to IRC and do:

/msg NickServ REGISTER <password> <email>

where <password> is a password of your choice and <email> is your e-mail address? After you do that, please follow the instructions that are e-mailed to you to confirm your e-mail address. When you're done with that, I just need you to confirm your cloak request:

/msg MemoServ send wmfgc IRC cloak request

After you finish all of that, I'd be happy to get you a cloak. :-) If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Filip (§) 13:21, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Filip, I used to just type /msg MemoServ send wmfgc IRC cloak request and get an error message. I was wondering what the problem was; I'm not the best with computers and code ;) . I've completed the process now. Can you process it further? Thanks! Lynch7 13:58, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Please suggest

Hello, !!! I had talked to you recently regarding some header files(inttypes.h and tgmath.h) which I have tried to edit as well as I possibly could, may be. Please have a look at these header files and suggest me how to improve these articles. Also, if possible, please tell me whether the images I have uploaded have a reliable source. I have added the link as a reference from where I learnt about the flowchart. Also, I tried to search for ansi.h on google but could not find any substantial information on it. If you could help me out with these, I would be grateful to you, Sir.
