Welcome edit

Hello Michaelcaine346 and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

Pankaj Choudhary (police officer) edit

Please only add content supported by reliable sources. Also, see the Talk:Pankaj Choudhary (police officer) if you wish to discuss this. Thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:44, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

You just this that is either promotional or not supported by reliable sources or both. Again, please only add content supported by reliable sources. My guess is that you have a conflict of interest. Are you associated with him in any way? Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:45, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Pankaj Choudhary has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 07:10, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Pankaj Choudhary, you may be blocked from editing. VQuakr (talk) 07:11, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Two articles edit

Are these two the same person?

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:15, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Anna Frodesiak: Seems reasonably clear that Pankaj Choudhary the politican and Pankaj Choudhary (police officer) are not the same person. Their DoBs are 17 years different for one thing.
The user just thinks that the police officer is the primary topic, which they aren't (since the police officer doesn't seem notable.) Joseph2302 (talk) 10:49, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi Joseph2302. You are right for sure. :) It all became clear to me after I posted. I must have been dizzied by the flurry of usernames, edits, and such. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:25, 24 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop edit

Please stop editing Pankaj Choudhary (police officer) and Pankaj Choudhary. You appear to have a close connection to the subject and are promoting him. You've been asked not to add unsourced or promotional content but have ignored those requests. You have also blanked one of the articles. Please stop editing them and discuss things here. Thanks. 07:17, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi, First of all Pankaj Choudhary was my wikipedia page. but i don't who's edit in my wikipedia page. Can you please remove Pankaj Choudhary Page. bcoz this is not my page.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia; pages are not "owned" by individuals the way you would control your Facebook page. VQuakr (talk) 07:41, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

VQuakr ok.

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 07:42, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

March 2016 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Michaelcaine346", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it impersonates Michael Caine. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 07:54, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Joseph2302, "...please note that editing under a username which represents an individual cannot be a violation unless they appear to be impersonating a notable living person..." Michaelcaine346 has not given any indication of impersonating the actor. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:59, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Considering they are obviously User:Pankaj Choudary IPS, it's a misleading name, and names of "famous people" should not be used. If User:Pankaj Choudary IPS was blocked for impersonation, then surely someone using the same name as an actual celebrity, and whose name almost certainly isn't Michael Caine, should be blocked? Joseph2302 (talk) 10:47, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
They may not be Pankaj Choudary. They maybe be his wife, co-worker, publicity agent, enemy, friend, who knows. Policy says that this person must be trying to impersonate that specific Michael Caine. There is no evidence for that. I may be wrong. If you think I am, please ask another admin. I may learn something new and would not be at all upset with another opinion.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Pankaj Choudhary (police officer). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Printer support number edit

Hello Michaelcaine346,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Printer support number for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Erick Shepherd (talk) 16:33, 5 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
