Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You saw the note and edit history yet did it anyways, clearly disruptive editing. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 15:50, 25 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

MOS:NOTUSA

edit

Hello, Medianadia. The above-named guidance tells us that the abbreviation "USA" should not be used except when it is the actual part of a quotation or proper name (or in some other technical contexts). Earlier today, you made a series of edits that use "USA" in lists where all other countries in the list are being identified by their full common names. I've reverted your edits, in each case citing MOS:NOTUSA in the edit summary. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 15:49, 4 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello again, Medianadia. I see that you've continued to make these edits. Would you please explain why you think MOS:NOTUSA does not apply? NewYorkActuary (talk) 14:06, 5 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello once again. I see that you continue to make these edits and continue to refuse to engage in discussion about them. This is becoming disruptive. Please explain why you think MOS:NOTUSA does not apply to these articles. NewYorkActuary (talk) 14:40, 13 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Logowithboarder.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Logowithboarder.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:56, 6 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

MOS:NOTUSA - October 2017

edit

You continue to engage in disruptive editing. Please stop now. NewYorkActuary (talk) 03:40, 13 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Miss Universe 2017 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
If you truly believe that MOS:NOTUSA does not apply to your edits, please join the discussion at Talk:Miss Universe 2017 NewYorkActuary (talk) 06:25, 30 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Adding blank lines to tables

edit

You have been reverted enough times to know that other editors are contesting your practice of adding blank lines (for future years) to the titleholders tables of various pageant articles. Please stop doing that. If you feel that these blank lines are beneficial to the articles, I'll be happy to discuss the matter with you. NewYorkActuary (talk) 15:33, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring over adding blank lines to tables

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Miss Honduras. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
You have been adding these blank lines to many articles and have had them reverted by several editors. If you truly believe that these articles are improved by having tables with blank lines, please start a discussion on the Talk page of WP:WikiProject Beauty Pageants.
