Commercial use of Image:Sighisoara-The-Clock-Tower.jpg

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Sighisoara-The-Clock-Tower.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Sighisoara-The-Clock-Tower.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Sighisoara-The-Clock-Tower.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:07, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Possible Copyvio

Please be aware of the possible copyright infringement I have reported here on one of the pictures you uploaded back in August 2006. --Gutza T T+ 12:11, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Are you sure the image has been released by NASA? --Gutza T T+ 18:19, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes I am, if you have any doubts than do some research on this yourself...Mastermindsro 17:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have, and I was unable to find it. I can't prove a negative (that NASA hasn't released this picture), but you can prove a positive (that NASA has released this picture). Also, since you claim NASA has released it, I expect it's trivial for you to provide a URL. Please do. --Gutza T T+ 14:29, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
P.S. One place where I looked was the NASA Visible Earth project -- and the Romania section doesn't include that image... --Gutza T T+ 14:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Pretty stupid to search for something that maybe isn't available online anymore; you should know that the http internet it's not the only source for digital photos. I don't have any interest on searching "a proof" to sustain the NASA as being the author. You can do it if you like & don't bother me anymore on this subject until you find it isn't true what i've said. It seems that this is becoming the aim of your life... too bad... So come with proof that is Copyright violation... Mastermindsro 22:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why?

edit

Why does my picture of the ACTUAL skyline of Bucharest keep being changed from the page Bucharest. It should be at the top, in the actual place for city skyline photos.

Because maybe there are several other and we make a rotation...Mastermindsro 07:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:ClubSpace1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:ClubSpace1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 08:11, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Victoriei1.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Victoriei1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The same message applies to all your other image uploads. None of them show a source, and you indicate that you don't know who took the photos. We don't have the copyright holder's permission to display them on this website. -- Diannaa (talk) 13:21, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
