Speedy deletion nomination of Micheal Yekha edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Micheal Yekha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Proposed deletion of Micheal Yekha edit

Hello, Marjoriemassah,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Bensci54 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Micheal Yekha, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bensci54}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Micheal Yekha moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Micheal Yekha, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 17:23, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Micheal Yekha edit

Hello, Marjoriemassah. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Micheal Yekha".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Bkissin (talk) 20:24, 19 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Micheal Yekha.pdf edit

The file File:Micheal Yekha.pdf has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused plaintext PDF, encyclopedic biographical information should be in an article and not a PDF, we are not a WP:WEBHOST.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pasting from article talk page, in case it is deleted.
Your article must be fully cited with footnotes to reliable sources when it is created in the main article space, to show that this person meets Wikipedia's notability criteria. As you can see, failing to demonstrate notability means that the article is at risk for deletion.
Many of the sources you have listed are not reliable. Any website consisting of user-generated content lacks the editorial oversight we require from sources, and is therefore disqualified. This means sites like Discogs and Last.fm are considered unreliable; as are online retailers like Amazon and Apple Music. Your Allmusic source is just a list of songs; without accompanying prose, this can't establish notability. Also, you cited another wiki site that re-uses Wikipedia content. Wikipedia itself is not a reliable source, so you cannot cite it or any other site that re-uses its content.
The Journal of Gospel Music site is a blog, which by definition is a self-published source and therefore unreliable. However, the post does quote a source that might be reliable (Mail & Guardian). Using the Mail & Guardian directly as a source would be acceptable.
Please review these pages for identifying reliable sources:
