Speedy deletion nomination of ERC Institute
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on ERC Institute, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Largo Plazo (talk) 04:43, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for drawing the two articles to my attention. I agree that the PSB page was spammy, and as it had been nominated, I deleted it. The other page appears to be largely copied from their Facebook page, and I deleted as a copyright infringement.
You say of your article The writing was factual and neutral. The very first sentence is ERC Institute was established in 2003 by ERC Holdings to provide education with a difference and raise the bar in education services in Singapore. In what way is that neutral, referenced encyclopaedic writing? There is similar elsewhere.
There is nothing to stop you submitting a neutral version, and I can let you have the deleted text if you don't have a copy.
I hope this clarifies Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:07, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'll post the deleted text here shortly. I made these edits. As well as fixing the tone, it would be help if you added more factual stuff, such as finances. It's common for businesses of all types to concentrate on what they are trying to sell (in your case, the courses) and ignore boring factual stuff. You don't say what the initials ERC stand for. I'm not sure of the point of the partnerships listed in this article, the notability of those institutions does not help yours Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:18, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
