Notability of software

edit

I notice that you removed the proposed deletion tag from Mac DVDRipper Pro, stating: "recently added link to notable review in reputable magazine MacWorld"

The specific guideline states:

Software that is just another entry in a crowded field will need more persuasively significant sources, of a kind that indicate that it stands out from the crowd. Notability of one package does not automatically mean that each of its competitors are notable as well.

It seems to me that the review in question does not indicate that this product stands out from the crowd of DVD ripping software available for the Mac OS, and in fact, it rather pales in comparison to some of its better competitors. As it is likely (from your username) that you are the author or vendor of this software, your opinion of its notability might be skewed. Can you provide any reliable sources to indicate that this software rises above its competitors? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:07, 16 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
