Thanks for your note Mabalu...been meaning to have a go at this one for a while. That said, had no idea how influential they have been until I started looking at source material. I was that CR-copycat twinset wearer in the '90s without even knowing! Thanks again. Libby norman (talk) 14:43, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

1970s Fashion

Yes, I shouldn't only go by RetroWaste, however, it is one of the only sources I can go by that doesn't use stereotypes. They use images from catalogs, which is a great representation of what was on demand at the time (if a specific type of clothing isn't on demand, or it isn't popular, they're not going to bother to advertise for it). I have a few other sources, but I barely have anything to go by. But it is much better now than it was before. I would not completely discredit RetroWaste. Just because the website looks cheap doesn't mean it has no useful information. I would honestly rather you not undo anything. Keep it the way it is right now. — Preceding ArtistsCry13 comment added by ArtistsCry13 (talkcontribs) 03:28, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

ArtistsCry13, who said anything about reverting? The point is not how cheap the website looks (you said it looked cheap, not me). It is that it does not show evidence of third party editiorial control. You need to back up statements with sources that are published under editorial control (so that they can be more easily trusted), for example, books (not self-published ones), newspaper articles, or even museum websites.
