Thanks for uploading File:WrestleMania 32 Poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Soulfly into Soulfly discography. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Merging Pride articles edit

Hi. I notice you have been merging Pride event articles into the year articles. Was there a discussion about this somewhere?

When you merge an article into another, there are a few more steps you are supposed to do. You can read about them at WP:MERGETEXT.--SaskatchewanSenator (talk) 21:35, 9 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

There has been notices up on quite a lot of the events since November 2015 suggesting the merges. Lukejordan02 (talk) 21:44, 9 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
I missed those. Can you please link me to one?--SaskatchewanSenator (talk) 23:46, 9 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

No wonder I didn't see them. Kevlar (talk · contribs) only added those proposals to about five or six Pride articles. It doesn't look like there was ever any discussion. I liked some of those articles but see the justification for merging most of them. Would you mind if I worked on a couple of those, added some references and un-merged them?--SaskatchewanSenator (talk) 20:56, 10 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Not at all as long as they are well sourced and have information added. I only merged them because I would hate to seek them deleted without the info being kept on wiki. Happy editing. Lukejordan02 (talk) 02:47, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thanks! We should add the merged templates to the redirect and talk pages and also get the required edit summary in the edit history as mentioned in WP:MERGETEXT.--SaskatchewanSenator (talk) 21:34, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Luke, thank you so much for taking your time to work on this issue. I strongly feel that the content is the only thing that matters and that in the case of MMA events consensus is MUCH easier to get for an article showing multiple events grouped by promotion and year. I could find the discussion in the WP:MMA talk archives but this conversation happened during the who discussion of the "MMA F word" meltdown, i still kind of have PTSD from that. Anyway... I was attempting to coordinate the merging of poorly sourced articles into their appropriate grouped event pages: WP:MMA Article improvement drive. Kevlar (talk) 19:19, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thank you and no problem it was a pleasure trying to improve the articles about something that i am passionate for. Lukejordan02 (talk) 21:41, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Mark Morton (musician) edit

I don't think there's a lot of discussion necessary to make a redirect for a living person if the article is full of unverified trivia (his speaker cabinets etc.), if there are no reliable secondary sources whatsoever (this is a BLP), and if thus there is no proof of notability via WP:BAND--please see the bottom of that section: "Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases." Drmies (talk) 18:17, 10 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough but what makes John Campbell anymore new table than Mark Morton? Surely they should both be redirected? Lukejordan02 (talk) 02:49, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
I don't know, Luke. If your judgment is that they're the same in terms of notability, then a redirect is the proper answer. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 13:44, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Royal Rumble image edit

Are you sure that large picture is fine? It looks pretty large. Every time I upload an image of that size I always get a message that it's too big and they've been replaced by smaller ones.★Trekker (talk) 20:20, 15 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

It should be OK, but worse comes to worse a moderator will just revert it to the previous image or lower the resolution on it. Lukejordan02 (talk) 00:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

File:The Great American Bash 91 poster.jpg listed for discussion edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:The Great American Bash 91 poster.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:35, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, can you reduce the image size? And will reducing the image size pixelate or distort the image? Lukejordan02 (talk) 17:48, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
The tag {{Non-free reduce}} that I added to the image which you reverted will eventually cause an automated task (a bot) to reduce the image size. It will maintain the aspect ratio so there is no image distortion, and the scaling generally will not introduce pixellation. Looking at some of your non-free uploads, I would expect that most if not all would need size reduction to meet the WP:IMAGERES recommended image sizing for non-free content. You can fix this yourself by tagging the images and then letting the bot do the work of resizing. -- Whpq (talk) 18:04, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the explanation, kind regards Luke. Lukejordan02 (talk) 18:10, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:...But Seriously album cover.jpg edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:...But Seriously album cover.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". ArbCom 2017 election voter message edit

Hello, Lukejordan02. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
