Category:Cattle diseases edit

I'm putting this category up for deletion as it is redundant with Category:Bovine diseases. Just wanted to let you know. --Joelmills 23:26, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bovine Virus Diarrhoea edit

I noticed that you just created Bovine Virus Diarrhoea. Bovine virus diarrhea already exists as an article. Would you mind merging the article you created into the existing one? Bovine Virus Diarrhoea can be a redirect to it. Thanks for all the great work you are doing on cattle diseases. --Joelmills 22:23, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Discussion about use of the walloon language edit

followed a paper from André Dumoulin about Ingrid Betancourt that I published in the "Rantoele" magazine, Nr 42,

Andre Dumoulin <agdumoul@yahoo.com> A: Gianni Gavioli <ggavioli@logos.net>

Is anyone offended about wallon?

Not from the fact that I am sending it from Panama but offended because there are controversies on how to spell the wallon and what place to give it in social life, maybe.

In Belgium, the only public recognition of the wallon language comes from an obscure consultative council and their members are deeply divided between the "dialectologists", who don't want to consider the existence of a common way of spelling and speaking the wallon, and those (now represented) who consider that wallon is a language which sufficient unity to be spoken, written and taught in the daily life, who are those who write wikipedia in Wallon and promote a common spelling, the "rifondu".

In Latin America, in Panama, I see sometimes the same kind of debate among my native indigenous students, who wonder if it is worthy or not to use and defned their native languages since the professional life and career are entirely determined by their mastering of world language such as spanish or english.

Some will stand for the survival and the promotion of these native languages and other will say that education in world languages must have absolute priority if their children want to have chance of getting out of poverty some day.

These are passionately divisive issues, and the two camps have valuable arguments.

Do you have a philosophy about this?

Gianni Gavioli <ggavioli@logos.net> wrote:

No thanks, Andre, it's a pleasure. I was wondering if anybody could be offended... Thanks for the Wallon Keep in touch Gianni

At 03.47 04/05/2007, you wrote: Thank you Gianni,

I could resume today the sending of logos quote and word in Wallon. I hope it will be regular again. What irony that the wallon of logos has to pass via Panama...

The wallon on internet is present on Wikipedia. Here is an article about a journal in Wallon, the Rantoele. I have sometimes articles there...

Good luck to keep Logos going! This requires a lot of mental strength!

Proposed deletion of One person stage play edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article One person stage play, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. References in articles edit

Howdy. I've removed a number of references in articles you have worked on that link to your wikipedia user page. It's always a good idea to provide references for material you add, but it's better to stick to published works. While I've no doubt that you speak from wisdom, citing your own unpublished experience ultimately amounts to a "because I said so" argument. - TB (talk) 10:04, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dermatology edit

Any interest in dermatology? If so, we are always looking for more help at the Dermatology task force, particularly with the ongoing Bolognia push. I can e-mail you the login information if you like? There is still a lot of potential for many new articles and redirects. ---kilbad (talk) 01:07, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Invertebrates edit

I see that despite my remarks at Talk:Invertebrate, you are continuing to add the category to phylum articles. Please stop. If a category has been deleted before, it is clearly contentious. It is therefore prudent to engage in discussions and establish consensus before trying to recreate it. --Stemonitis (talk) 14:03, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 13 edit

Hi. When you recently edited Poil de carotte, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Walloon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
