Question edit

I'm more then a little concerned with your editing at Gen Sinclair's page and the combination of your username(which could be completely innocent). I don't object to coverage of the trail but I am concerned with the amount of detail and WP:UNDUE attention to it. May I ask do you have any intentions of editing wikipedia other then this subject? Do you have a connection to this in some way? I am bringing the article to the attention of a site admin I ask about this sort of thing. I want to be clear I'm not asking him to review you for wrong doing, I don't believe that is happening but to gauge the undue aspect. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 02:23, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for asking! I appreciate you asking questions rather than making assumptions. I have actually done other edits using an IP address, and decided it was time to get an account rather than remain anonymous, especially when making such large edits. The connection is a military one - we live in the area where the case took place and I'm starting with "local" edits. As for my username, please think nothing of it. Hell in a Bucket I do feel badly for raising concern as that was not my intention. Please let me know your concerns and what I should have done differently as I did my best to state only that which was available online. I also want to add that I chose this as one of my first articles to edit after reading your talk page and archives. You appear to be very fair and honestly, funny as hell. You got a "spunk" that I like and respect very much. LovinTheSunshine (talk) 13:00, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for that I try not to be an asshole but humor can be a great way to cut through that. Right now I am just working on saving the article from outright deletion. Ugh I hate when asking for a 3rd opinion backfires. Really my only concern was the sheer amount of detail. It was extremely well written and sourced but seemed WP:UNDUE. Take a look through the essay I think you may find why, it's more of a WP:BLP concern we don't want to smear the man just report. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 13:05, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for being kind, helpful, and patient. I'm new to this and obviously need to work on balance. Please believe me when I say that I had no intention to smear the man. In fact, I was more concerned that the article could come across as biased, with the intent to slander the accuser. What I will say is that as a member of the military community, I disagree with the comment made by DGG, that this was a minor charge, he's not that significant, etc. This case was a first for many reasons, and as time goes on, it's interesting to compare how this trial was conducted versus others of a similar nature. Please feel free to edit, delete, obliterate, etc whatever you think is necessary to keep your article up and running. Again, I apologize. LovinTheSunshine (talk) 13:25, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
No seriously don't be sorry. We all have people looking at their edits. I hope you stick around because we need that style additions badly. Please by all means chime in to the discussion on the bio. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 13:29, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I love to write, as you can obviously see! If you have suggestions as to where I should start, please let me know and I'm happy to check things out. Thank you again. LovinTheSunshine (talk) 13:42, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
please see BLP Noticeboard discussion here. DGG ( talk ) 04:45, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you DGG and I apologize for causing such a ruckus. That was not my intention at all. As you can see in the discussion above, I'm still new to all of this and was trying to present enough information so as not to come across as favoring one side or the other. I'll get better - promise! LovinTheSunshine (talk) 13:42, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Just an fyi you can archive or completely remove a thread but you don't want to modify it once it's been replied to. Makes it difficult to reference. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 23:05, 18 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the heads up. I was trying to get the entire thing over to archive and obviously made a mistake. Will try again!LovinTheSunshine (talk) 20:51, 19 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
