New page reviewer granted

Hi LordVoldemort728. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline.
  • Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any steps.
  • Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Unexplained reversal of lead paragraphs

Please explain the reversal of lead rewriting for the articles Fahmi Zainol, Joseph Ng Soon Siang, Teh Lai Heng, Connie Tan Hooi Peng and Ong Ah Teong. For example, is it wrong to improve sentences where only the acronyms of political parties were originally provided, that readers outside Malaysia may struggle to understand? hundenvonPG (talk) 04:12, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

The readers outside Malaysia will also struggle to understand what is that party until they click on that link (this was not my motive) and the motive for that reversal was to remove the word "State Assemblyman" which is not used internationally for members of assembly. For examble see Brian Dahle. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙‍♂️Let's Talk ! 04:21, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
Point taken, putting the term members of the Penang State Legislative Assembly to use. As for acronyms, articles of more prominent elected names (see Anwar Ibrahim, Anthony Loke and Fadillah Yusof) all have full party names in the lead. In the interest of consistency, the same should apply for these articles. hundenvonPG (talk) 05:17, 2 December 2023 (UTC)
@HundenvonPenang I don't have problem with party name. You can do whatever with party name. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙‍♂️Let's Talk ! 05:28, 2 December 2023 (UTC)

Clarification on Wiki Page Reversion

Omkar1610 (talk) 07:00, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

@Omkar1610 See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. I reversed it because it contained detailed about Suryabanshi Suraj without any references. If you want that your version will stay then you should have to provide sources that from where did you got that information.
You wrote "Born on May 18th, 1995 in Kuansh, Bhadrak", "Suryabanshi Suraj completed his B.Tech from Siksha 'O' Anusandhan and pursued LLB(Bachelor of Laws) from Fakir Mohan University, " He serves as the Managing Editor of 'Ghasaphula'", "founder of 'Bande Bhadrak'", but you also have to cite the links from where you got these information.
How do you know about him? Are you Suryabanshi Suraj or relative of Suryabanshi Suraj or Suryabanshi Suraj gave you money to add these information? 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙‍♂️Let's Talk ! 07:10, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
I am a member of his social media team. We posted these information after discussing with Suryabanshi Suraj himself. There are some information where there is no news article published. How should I do these changes so that they will stay? Omkar1610 (talk) 07:14, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
(summoned from the Teahouse) hi @Omkar1610 and welcome to Wikipedia! first, please see Conflict of interest and Paid editing before doing anything with the article Suryabanshi Suraj. as you are part of his social media team, you are required to be famillar with these policies before anything anything related to him. you may then add an edit request in the talk page of the article, in this case Talk:Suryabanshi Suraj, and an editor will add your additions to the article if it is appropriate. however do note that reliable, independent sources (i.e. not press releases) are still highly recommended, so if what you want to add is primarily only covered by press releases or interviews (or especially what Suraj has told you, which also would not be applicable due to being unverifiable by others), it may not be applicable for the wiki.
happy editing! 💜  melecie  talk - 07:50, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
@Omkar1610 In short, no cited WP:RS, no article content. See also Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:58, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

Ankh Micholi

Thank you for taking the time to review this article. To establish the noteworthiness of the film, I have expanded the lead section to include discussion of the film’s prominence because of its prolific director (Ravidra Dave), the film’s highly-paid lead actress (Mala Sinha) and also the film’s music director (Chitragupt).

My apologies for posting this comment both on your user talk page as well as the deletion discussion on the film's project page. I was unsure of the right protocol for doing this. Scholar165 (talk) 22:37, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
