Daniel lofstrom

edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Daniel lofstrom, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Levine2112 discuss 00:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please note that my reason for deletion is that it violates WP:AB, which is Wikipedia's policy against self-authored biographies. -- Levine2112 discuss 00:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do Not Remove AfD Notices== ==Please do not remove

edit

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. -- Levine2112 discuss 19:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The PROD tag (not an AfD notice by the way) was removed again by the anon (almost certainly editing from the same DSL IP address as Lofstrom31). I've reverted this, mainly because no reason for its repeated removal was provided, which indeed makes it tantamount to vandalism and a reason to block. But we can make this faster and hopefully painless. We have sufficient indications to say that this is either a hoax containing some patent nonsense, or an unsourced autobiography. Patent nonsense and unsourced autobiographies of non-notable persons can be can be speedied or removed via PROD, hoaxes can be PRODded, disputed PRODs and unsourced autobiographies of notable persons can be removed via WP:Articles for deletion. Instead of being speedied, autobiographies can be userfied (moved to a user page). I could not find anything at all in reliable or unreliable sources about this person, so we could speedy it straight away (see WP:AUTOBIO#Creating an article about yourself). How about simply userfying this (as the most friendly option) and be done with it? AvB ÷ talk 09:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm speedying; the IP editor just vandalized my talk page and I can no longer assume good faith. AvB ÷ talk 11:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Daniel lofstrom

edit

A tag has been placed on Daniel lofstrom, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Non-notable autobiography. (It looks like a hoax but the author insists it is a real autobiography. If so, its total lack of sources after repeated requests and no notability whatsoever from reliable sources (e.g. nothing in Google or Google Scholar) make it an NN autobio)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AvB ÷ talk 11:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
