The Future Is Worse Than the Past

edit

Hello! After seeing your post at the Teahouse, I have made a number of updates to The Future Is Worse Than The Past article. To see each edit, go to the article and click on the View History tab in the upper right, and then use the Compare Selected Revisions button. As part of that I started writing the track listing. You can finish it, unless some other editor beats you to it. As I mentioned on the Teahouse page, if you're creating a new article, the key to success is to have several reliable sources, to show that the album is notable in the Wikipedia sense of that term -- that it "has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". Otherwise another editor might think that the album is not well-known enough to have its own Wikipedia article, and propose that the article be deleted. Anyway, I hope this helps. (If you want to reply to this post, type your reply underneath, notify my by including {{Ping|Mudwater}} as part of the post, and sign with four tildes, i.e. ~~~~.) Speedy deletion nomination of File:FolkSoulRevival.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:FolkSoulRevival.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, Lo-fimusiclover. About the image stuff, don't take it personally. Wikipedia is really strict about not allowing the use of copyrighted images. This is explained, in rather tedious detail, at Wikipedia:Image use policy. To make a long story short, images used on Wikipedia have to be licensed for anybody to use. The main exception is that certain images can be used under what's called "fair use". That includes album covers, if they're used in the corresponding album articles. But even then they have to be tagged appropriately. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. (You can ping me here, or post on my user talk page.) Mudwater (Talk) 01:26, 18 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
