Your references

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia,

An article on Wikipedia has to be based on reliable sources that discuss the specific topic. In this case, the sources would have to discuss "top ten" torture methods of the Middle Ages specifically. Your first source appears to be some sort of amateur website, not something professionally written and edited. Your second reference is an opinion piece opposing torture in the modern era. It doesn't mention "top ten" methods or torture in the Middle Ages. Both references are worthless for this topic. It seems you made this topic up. That's why the article doesn't meet Wikipedia standards, based on my experience and reading of the relevant policies. Cullen328 (talk) 06:03, 15 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Better ways to improve the coverage of your chosen topic on Wikipedia

edit

Hi, there are already lots of articles about torture and different methods of torture on Wikipedia. So a better way for you to improve coverage of torture would be for you to improve some of those articles - in particular, finding and adding reliable sources as references for them - rather than starting a new article. A good place to start (which also makes interesting reading if you click some of the links) would be List of methods of torture. Feel free to ask for help here, or at Wikipedia:Help desk if you need any help. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 13:24, 15 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
