December 2015 edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Love. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 05:22, 15 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your message on my talk page. It is not just that the link you included is to a blog, although that is definitely a problem as far as Wikipedia is concerned. You also say on my talk page that you are the author of the blog you are quoting, which means you definitely should not be adding a link to your own blog, that is considered spam. More to the point, I would suggest that any number of writers have given definitions of love over the years. What makes yours worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia article? Wikipedia relies on reliable secondary sources, which I would suggest in this case means that other credible people would have had to have said (in [WP:RS|reliable sources]) that your definition is a particularly good or noteworthy one.
