Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Content Factory 1 GmbH

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Content Factory 1 GmbH, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 15:53, 18 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Reviewer, I have carefully read the guidelines and now throughly understand that the page I created was too promotional. I promise to write and edit objectively using neutral language about subjects of interest to the public not otherwise covered on Wikipedia. Please give me a second chance. Thank you in advance. Leslie Gray Leslie Gray (talk)

Decline reason:

Now you're using multiple accounts to try to get your company onto Wikipedia. This is not acceptable. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 14:21, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What is your connection to the company you edited about? What specific topics are you interested in editing about? 331dot (talk) 15:16, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have no connection to the company but am fascinating my different approaches to marketing and content. I have a Master's Degree in that area. I have now thoroughly learned what is acceptable on Wikipedia and will never post content that may seem promotional again. Thank you. Leslie Gray (talk) 07:28, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please unblock my page. I have learned what neutral writing is allowed and I will follow from here on our. The prior page was my first. Thank you. Leslie Gray (talk) 13:16, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please answer the following questions:

  1. What specific articles are you interested in editing if you are unblocked?
  2. Why did you create a draft about Content Factory 1 GmbH?

Thanks, Z1720 (talk) 18:38, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your first question, I am interested in editing articles regarding e-commerce and digital communications. I have worked in this area for 25 years. Regarding this second question, I am a communications director for Content Factory 1. I meant only to establish a basic page without promotional content. I overstepped the guidelines which will not happen again. The updated page will not be advertising in any way, only a factual, neutral article for the greater public. I apologize for any misscommunication on my part. Thank you. Leslie Gray (talk) 19:48, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
You told 331dot "I have no connection to the company but am fascinating my different approaches to marketing and content", now you are telling Z1720 "I am a communications director for Content Factory 1". Also, when you say "I am interested in editing articles regarding e-commerce and digital communications", you need to make it clear that you will not write about the company you work for Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:02, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I will add that we don't have "basic pages" here that merely document existence. We have articles about topics that meet our criteria, such as the definition of a notable company. Those articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage say about the company, not what it wants to say about itself. Our articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the subject. 331dot (talk) 12:44, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
