Hello,

I think the basis of rejection is kind of not fair. The references provided are from the biggest news magazine outlets where the artist belongs from therefore those are reliable & independent sources. I feel this subject is very subjective and kind of depends where the person being talked about belongs to and the news / magazine outlets rankings. Might be not reliable for some, but they might be extremely reliable for some. Kindly review it, with all due respect xx thank you ❤️ Kiranin69 (talk) 20:35, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Theroadislong: Can you kindly elaborate for Kiranin69, please? (I'm just pinging you as Kiranin69 did not) I feel you are better suited to explain, and I am a bit busy at the moment. Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 20:43, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I declined Draft:Aleem Zafar because I couldn't see how he passed WP:NMUSICIAN. Neutrality is also a MAJOR problem, content like "Owing to his popularity and big fan-following". "famed Bollywood actor", "emerging talent started his own venture", "a renowned name", "a huge success", "covering a famous track", "to pursue his dream", "Pakistani legend", " rendition of the patriotic song", "appreciated by several famous celebrities", "a well known production house"...none of this is appropriate neutral tone. Theroadislong (talk) 21:22, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Like i mentioned earlier. I think that point you mentioned about the sources is extremely subjective. I assume you provide the best references according to the country the person belongs to. Now some of them might think they’re okay and some might not. According to the research these were the best independent news / magazine outlets from that country and they don’t look promotional either so I personally feel and also think with immense respect that you should give this one a lighter hand.

Regarding the sucess part. I’ve seen it in many other articles on wikipedia for references that’s why it was mentioned here as well. I think biographies do tend to show any artist’s success and flops for fans to know. It’s not promotional merely a part of any artists career.

I have re-edited and resubmitted. Requesting you to please make any changes if necessary instead of declining 🙏

Thank you x Kiranin69 (talk) 05:05, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Kiranin69, you did a very good job removing promotional-sounding words. However, I think you may need to address Theroadislong's concerns with WP:NMUSICIAN. I would suggest that you read over that section to see if this musician is considered notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 20:40, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I think they’re news worthy. I’ve went through each of them and they do not look like press releases. They have the subject discussed in their own point of view in the articles. Please do review it thank you xx ❤️ Getting an article approved would be like a big thing for me. I’ve tried my level best in this and like you said earlier i think it has a chance it’s not like its on zero 🥺😟 Kiranin69 (talk) 08:38, 20 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

😫😫 Would you please mind explaining on which parts does this sound like an advertisement? It was declined before for this reason but i re edited it and removed all the parts that looked like an advertisement or not neutral. I have seen other Wikipedia articles of people and they are written in the exact same tone. Please let me know the parts you think should not be there 🥲 xx ❤️ Kiranin69 (talk) 02:39, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well just one example would be this massive chunk of unsourced marketing trumpery..."In 2015, Zafar joined Pakistan's youngest singer Asim Azhar as his public relations and marketing manager. Aleem has released several songs with Asim Azhar, playing a significant part in Azhar's biggest breakthrough in India through Zee Network. Several music videos of Asim Azhar feature Aleem's name including 'Soniye', 'Mahi Ajaa' a track which was also featured in Coke Studio season 11. Some other celebrities Aleem has worked with include Uzair Jaswal, Roxen, Saad Sultan, Hamza Malik, Humaima Malick, Faakhir, Omer Nadeem, Bilal Saeed and many more. In the past, Aleem has also managed some underground artists, including "Ifti", who sung the title track of drama serial Mai Abdul Qadir Hon, which was broadcast on HUM TV, Bilal Rubbani, Raast the Band and many others. Venturing further into the industry, Aleem endorsed several well-known brands and even signed a film ’21Miles’ which was supposedly announced to be released back in 2016 but the project eventually came to an end without the film being released." That should certainly be removed. Theroadislong (talk) 08:59, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

I mean this is more of a biography of what the person has done. If that’s not mentioned in the biography what else would be? I suppose biographies are supposed to showcase the career of a person. As an ex celebrity manager shouldnt that be a part of the biography? Kiranin69 (talk) 12:45, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Or can you re-edit and remove what you think shouldnt be there and help out a girl here. It’s been like 3 people declined it and all had different thoughts of what should be removed. I’ve seen other biographies and have taken notes from them to write this one. Kiranin69 (talk) 12:46, 21 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Aleem Zafar edit

Kiranin69, the draft you had been working on, Aleem Zafar, has been deleted as editors noted that much of it appeared to be copied off of his official website. At first it was going to be deleted for appearing to be an ad, which I did contest, but I couldn't contest the copyright issues as they were true. If you still want to create the draft, you will need to be sure to use your own words, as copy/pasting text is a serious violation. Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 13:37, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
