  Hello, Kindindubai. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 12:38, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your conflict of interest edit

Are you saying you are not the person of the same name who was listed as a team member for KAMPOS? Deb (talk) 08:15, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I confirm you that my name is Sara Gentile and I was never listed as a team member for KAMPOS. I do not work for them and I have never worked for them.

Odd coincidence, isn't it? Why is it that you are only interested in creating articles for this company and nothing else? Deb (talk) 10:42, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Everyone has the freedom to contribute with the topic of his/her choice that he/she is passionate about. I am passionate about fashion and sustainability. I am currently learning and I believe it is a work progress to find the right tone of voice and understand/meet the requirements. I want to understand and make the right changes to the article I have started to write and I have also been contributing to other articles in the Wikipedia encyclopedia.

You're mistaken. We don't have the freedom to contribute with the topic of our own choice. For a start, the topic has to meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. We're also discouraged from writing articles on subjects that are too close to us - you shouldn't really be writing about a company you are "passionate" about. Furthermore, new editors like yourself are expected to begin by making small edits to existing articles rather than trying to create an article from scratch without first practising or understanding the guidelines. Deb (talk) 20:32, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dear Deb, I am offended by the tone and the content of your messages, as you are acting on behalf of Wikipedia. Your accusations and speculations are unfounded and have no evidence of what you are claiming. Moreover, I find your last message broadline discriminatory as I cannot be told which topics I should contribute to on Wikipedia. Also, statements like 'Are you saying you are not the person of the same name who was listed as a team member for KAMPOS?' or 'Odd coincidence, isn't it?' are offensive, abrasive and arrogant.

If Wikipedia has a concern about the identity of a user, the company should ask for a proof of identity rather than having employees/users accusing other users without any evidence.

I am ready to submit my ID document or any proof you might require to confirm my identity.

I reconfirm that I have no formal or informal relationship to KAMPOS.

If this issue is not resolved professionally, I am ready to escalate officially with Wikipedia because I cannot believe new users should be discouraged aggressively to contribute. I reserve the right to protect my interests.

Dear Wikipedia,

I acknowledge that no one has responded to my last message sent several days ago (please see above). I also acknowledge the fact that on 5th April at 11:52, Deb deleted my draft without responding to my questions and completely ignoring my position. I will escalate until this issue is resolved fairly.

I reserve the right to protect my interests.

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Kindindubai, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kindindubai|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 12:31, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Therodislong. I confirm I am not being paid to make any contribution on Wikipedia. I am still not familiar with Wikipedia and I am learning the tone of voice to use with time by creating this page and editing articles. I am contributing to the Wikipedia encyclopedia during my free time to grow the topic of fashion and sustainability that I am passionate about.
