Industrial fans edit

Hi, you can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~

This article was deleted twice by myself and another admin because it is advertising, and because there are other problems (and it makes me nervous that a PR company is involved).

Passages like the following include unsourced advert type claims: “Leaders in fan technology” Halifax fan (UK) have been developing centrifugal fans for over 40 years. In that time advances have been made through hours of research and development … With the onset of green culture Halifax fan have developed fan systems that promote High efficiency through the use of tailor made fans with matching frequency inverters This is clearly advertising.

You are supposed to give independent sources to show that the article is notable, and to allow verification of any claims. Your only reference is this, which is not independent

Your page ends This page including all its content has been generated with the kind permission of Halifax Fan ltd.. This raises all sorts of problems. Any text or images posted in Wikipedia must be released under the GFDL licence, which permits commercial use as well as non-commercial. If the company are claiming any sort of ownership beyond that, the text and images cannot be used.

If they are releasing the text and images under the GFDL (or making it public domain), they should make it clear on their website that the images and text are freely available under the GFDL.

A minor point is that since anyone can edit the contents, content should not be signed or acknowledgements posted on the article page. Hope this helps, Jimfbleak 15:54, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of James R. Robinson edit

The article James R. Robinson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NBIO, and is just promotional for Robinson Industries.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
