Hi

edit

Just a quick note. Great start on this article, but before adding too many more "sources" please review the links that I have put at the top of your page including Wikipedia:Citing sources. Also - these sources should be reliable. I have found one example source to support her NYT bestseller claim, and I have put that in the article for you. Please follow this format and convert the current external links to citations. Only her own website should exist as an external link. Regards.    7   talk Δ |   02:31, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi - saw you tried to add some references. Unfortunately they aren't in the required format. Have you read the info I linked above about citing sources? Thanks.    7   talk Δ |   12:49, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. 99.149.84.135 (talk) 00:52, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Kevin Park, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. By PRODing a notable athlete who shares a similar name with you there is a conflict of interest. Also, the notability criteria for athletes is WP:ATHLETE not WP:BIO as you stated. He easily passes WP:ATHLETE. It appears you have gone on a prodding spree recently, and I would like to politely suggest you review the community guidelines I sent you last month before doing too many more.    7   talk Δ |   01:06, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

compromosed account

If others can access your computer you had better log it off from your Wikipedia login. If this happens again your account will get an immediate block. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:46, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion

edit

Hi Kevin. Why would you want to delete the article on Marjorie Liu? She does satisfy the notability policy. You even started the article yourself. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 01:07, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Kevin Park (author). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you.  bsmithme  02:30, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Compromised account

edit

Kevin, it is extremely rare for someone to get a second chance after their account has been compromised. As the note above states, if it happens again this account will be permanently blocked. Please change your password and log out of your account when you leave the computer. Also, you can automatically sign your posts and comments by adding 4 tildes at the end. Thanks. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 05:05, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removal of PROD from Suzanne Enoch

edit

Hello Kevpark, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Suzanne Enoch has been removed. It was removed by Karanacs with the following edit summary '(rem prod - author has been on the NYT bestseller list)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Karanacs before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:33, 5 August 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Kate Douglas

edit

A tag has been placed on Kate Douglas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. PLEASE STOP

edit

Please stop creating articles about non-notable authors. In fact, please stop creating ANY articles until you have fully read and understood the following: WP:V, WP:N, and WP:RS. We invite contributions but repeatedly creating stub articles of a few words that do not indicate why the subject is notable AND providing reliable, third-party references to back up that assertion is not productive and if continued will be considered vandalism. <>Multi-Xfer<> (talk) 23:11, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
