Speedy deletion nomination of AIT international school
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on AIT international school, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Flat Out let's discuss it 05:02, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
AIT international school
editHi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Note that sources like blogs are not acceptable
- You tell us little about the school, such as how many staff or pupils, and it's not obvious it's in Thailand initially
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: Other international schools fees in Thailand, discard any concerns about qualities and opinions from parents and students... is considered to be inexpensive in comparison... she has concluded AITIS as a good international school — you should not include addresses in an encyclopaedia article either
- there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections
- The article was created in a single edit without wikilinks or references, and looks as if was copied from an unknown and possibly copyrighted source. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- The impression that the text is copied is reinforced by references to footnotes and charts which are not in your article
Although it's not a reason for deletion, I think the name should be AIT International School, with capitals starting the second and third words Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:24, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for your advise
I like that you point out all those points so clearly that i have an idea how to rewrite my article. But i don't really know how to get back on that page. wikipedia says that i have to talk to you first.
by the way, can you tell me how to cite in text using the same reference twice. It has to be in a way that it appears in reference list only one time.
