Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Junkyard 69, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Junkyard69", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. John F. Lewis (talk) 22:53, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. Requested username:

Request reason:

I don't represent Junkyard 69,I'm just new on wikipedia and created this account under this username by mistake. My fault, didn't know or think that it would be a problem to use a username same as an article or it would be considered as promotion..I'd like to change the username if it's ok JunkYard 69 (talk) 04:25, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You can't be unblocked to change your name to Original21 because that name is already registered to someone else. Please pick a new name that is not currently in use. (See Special:Listusers and use the 'search' function). You can resubmit this unblock request if you find a suitable name and if you *also* promise to make no edits regarding the band Junkyard 69 or on any topics in which your brother is also interested. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 21:47, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • I put another username.I'm not going to edit anything else on the article until the discusion is over.

For administrators attention, please make a new request rather than modifying te existing one. John F. Lewis (talk) 22:24, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Amalthea 17:22, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi.Well no,he is my brother, and we often use the same PC if that's the reason you ask me.Is there a problem on that?I mean if different people use the same IP/computer?Please let me know so I know next time — Preceding unsigned comment added by Junkyard69 (talkcontribs)

  • Junkyard69, if you actually want 'Origial21' you can have it, even though it sounds like a misspelling. But in the mean time you still should agree to the above restriction: you can make no edits about the band Junkyard 69, and no edits on the same topics as User:Nikotinn. Please respond to this offer. EdJohnston (talk) 22:39, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sorry EdJohnston, Origial21 was my mistake when restoring his previous denied request. Changed back to the original one. John F. Lewis (talk) 22:41, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Gn'Fn'Rs is the name I want.I searched and found no other user under this name,so I think it's ok.

Already agreed not to make any other edit about the article. I just don't get why an Mtv competition is not considered a major music competition. :/ Sounds like saying that the Mtv awards is not a bid deal.. --JunkYard 69 (talk) 23:05, 9 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have unblocked this account per your above comments. Please keep in mind what has been said above:

  • Always se neutral wording, no promotional language please.
  • In particular, avoid making that concern the band Junkyard 69. If you think such an edit should be made, either propose it on the article's talk page, or consult me or any other admin first.
  • Since you identified User:Nikotinn, avoid editing the same pages he does. If you ever both edit the same discussion, be very explicit that your brother already commented as well. Please also make your brother aware of this

These recommendations serve two purposes: To make sure that your edits are in line with consensus and policy, but also to make sure you and your brother do not get into any trouble. If you ever do, or have any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page.
