Risk edit

Thanks for the note. Don't take it personally. In regard to my concerns, WP:TONE covers the formal tone we expect, and WP:V covers the need to have verifiable information. It's great to have someone with your expertise working on the article. However, we do need to keep the information verifiable. Generally, if it doesn't have a source, expect that it could be removed. The burden then rests on the editor wishing to restore the information to provide sources. The article is in pretty bad shape: It needs more sources and doesn't summarize the related topics very well. That's another reason I reverted the lede - it didn't introduce and summarize the topic any better, and the tone and language was inappropriate.

You might want to take a look at User:WLU/Generic_sandbox and WP:TMM as well. I certainly wish someone had directed them to me when I was first getting started here.

Again, great to have you here. --Ronz (talk) 03:20, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, take a look at WP:COI as well. --Ronz (talk) 03:29, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:34, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cutting through the Wikipedia red tape edit

While Wikipedia isn't a bureaucracy, there is a lot to learn here. Generally, writing from independent and reliable sources will prevent most problems. For the topic of Risk it may be difficult to produce a neutral article because of the many different and valid perspectives and areas of practice. Still, just getting more and better sources into the article will help tremendously. --Ronz (talk) 16:32, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
