Use of multiple accounts and infobox dates

edit

Hi, I see you previously used the account Juanmlavagna (talk · contribs); could I ask why you set up your new account? Also, when updating infobox stats could you update the 'pcupdate' or 'club-update' parameter by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 17:02, 2 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.   Hello, I'm Qed237. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living person on Juan Mata, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Footballer infobox stats, re Mauro Zárate

edit

Hello. When you update the stats in the infobox, please would you also update the as-of date – the |pcupdate= or |club-update= paramete – to a date/time after the last match included in the stats.

The easy way is to wait until after the match before updating the stats, and then replace the contents of the parameter with 5 tilde characters, ~~~~~, which the system will automatically convert into the current date and time.

If you just change the stats without changing the date, you end up with up-to-date stats but the words at the bottom of the box saying correct as of weeks before the player's latest match. If you don't have time to do it properly, please leave it for someone who has. Thank you for your understanding, Struway2 (talk) 10:10, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Infobox dates

edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions was not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats, by adding five tildes (~~~~~), which generates the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 18:34, 29 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
