Replaceable fair use File:MalaybalayCityView.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:MalaybalayCityView.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 17:49, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 12 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Masjid, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Istiqlal Mosque (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:20, 12 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:SultanHajiHassanalBolkiah.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:SultanHajiHassanalBolkiah.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:00, 20 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Cadiz City edit

Since you don't seem to be reading the edit summary. You can not use the proposed deletion process on redirects. If you think the redirect should be deleted you must follow the direction at WP:RFD. ~ GB fan 11:25, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stop adding that tag to the redirect. You can not use that process to delete a redirect. You must use WP:RFD. ~ GB fan 11:38, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Please read, WP:PROD. If you look at the last sentence of the 5th paragraph of that page you will see that it says, "Proposed deletion cannot be used with redirects, user pages (except user books), templates, categories, or pages in any other namespace." Pay particular attention to the part I bolded. Proposed deletion can not be used with redirects. ~ GB fan 11:43, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Do you need help doing this? ~ GB fan 11:51, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
You need to finish the nomination. There are three steps at WP:RFD#HOWTO. You have completed step 1, you must do step 2 also or the RFD tag will be removed. Step 3 won't stop the nomination from proceeding but it is courteous to notify the person who created the redirect that it is up for deletion. ~ GB fan 12:03, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

largest cities in south east asia template edit

does not have a collapsible element to it and sits there staring out whether one wants to see it or not - that makes it a problem see if you can get help to have the key to make it collapse JarrahTree 10:41, 18 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

JANGAN!!! edit

Please do not introduce 2x templates that cannot collapse, as you have done at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semarang and the other cities you are adding the templates to.

It is not what WP:ABOUT - please either stop now, or ask for help to make the templates collapse. Thanks JarrahTree 12:12, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, but I did it by purpose JarrahTree. Johanry 12:12, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

It is not appropriate to have deliberately open templates on those pages - not in WP:MOS or standard understanding of what templates are about. It simply is not what wikipedia is about. JarrahTree 12:23, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

OK - please makes them collapsible. I am asking in WP:AGF. If you wont cannot or have a problem about that - please read WP:Disruptive editing and then WP:MOS about templates - thanks. JarrahTree 12:30, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you - for going to the effort to make them collapsible - appreciated JarrahTree 13:56, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
oops - the one you missed - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuala_Lumpur it looks really problematic like that, the article is big enough as it is...
Please do not do that again - thank you for your attention to the matter JarrahTree 14:08, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
Okay JarrahTree  :). Johanry 14:12, 24 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Message for You edit

Hello, I actually edited the Notable People section of San Pablo, Laguna. I've removed Erik Spoelstra from the list since he is a Fil-American and born in the US rather than in the Philippines. His mother Elisa is actually from the said city. I hope you understand the situation. Thank you! VictorTorres2002 (talk) 12:52, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I'm not the one who placed Eric Spoelstra on the list of noatable people from San Pablo, Laguna VictorTorres2002. I just put the Template:Most populous cities in Philippines. But thanks for improving the page then. Johanry 23:37, 28 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

2019 US Banknote Contest edit

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Editing while logged out edit

I see that you have removed the prior warnings. At any rate, please do not edit while logged out, creating the appearance of further support for your edits. It is a form of sock puppetry. The reliability of the source you are pushing has been questioned, and even that one does not use the "255,000" number. Dekimasuよ! 05:07, 29 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ali Abinal edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ali Abinal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Sumpong, Malaybalay edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sumpong, Malaybalay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://malaybalaycity.gov.ph/malaybalay-dev/sumpong/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
