Speaking of G-Unit Records, head over to Shadyaftmathgunit's talk page and read the essay I wrote about how I think we should not mention all of these members of imprint labels owned by artists that are signed to G-Unit Records. Yes, but just because they are affiliated (although some affiliations are questionable... Cut Killer?), it doesn't mean you list every single member there. Also, saying "Affiliated artists" would make it somewhat POV, wouldn't it? Some would add Snoop, some DMX, some Dre, some would be against all of them, etc.. Besides, no other record label has this, I don't see Shady or Aftermath have this. That is why a mention is enough. No more, no less. However, I propose this: have a section for the record labels, IN the articles of the artists which own the label. So, for example, Young Buck's article will have a section dedicated to Ca$hville, it will have one or two sentences about the label's history, and in another sentence you can list the current artists signed to the label. --- Realest4Life 02:16, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, I really don't think we should have a whole section for affiliates. I think that having for example one sentence such as "G-Unit Records members also frequently collaborate with Eminem, Dr. Dre..." but we should really make sure that they are collaborators. Maybe list them if they reach a certain number of songs together, and NOT just one member of G-Unit (Young Buck works with southern rappers all the time, but they are not G-Unit affiliates), it has to be at least 2 or 3. --- Realest4Life 02:28, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Saw October Newsletter

The WikiProject Saw Newsletter Issue II - October 2007
Member news The project has currently 19 members.	From the Members Welcome to the second issue of the WikiProject Saw's newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do. It's now "Saw Weekend" and Saw IV has been out for a couple of days now. (If you haven't seen it, don't worry, I won't spoil anything for you.) Because of this, a lot of the articles are probably going to need a bit of work. I'll go into more detail on other various sections. All in all, a lot of the 'challenges' from last month's newsletter are still here. Since the release of IV will probably be the last major release of info at least until next year's V we could probably just try to improve the information we already have. Pages Needing Cleanup List of traps in the Saw film series: This survived deletion, but it was recommended that we change the article a bit. Detective Eric Matthews: This article could use a bit of clean-up to make it less in-universe. Since he's one of the few recurring characters outside of Jigsaw and Amanda, we could probably base it off off their formats.
Current Debates Should Lawrence Gordon and Adam Faulkner be merged? See the project's discussion. A consensus still hasn't been reached on this.
Monthly Collaboration Last month's monthly collaboration was Saw (film). As a guide, look at other featured horror film articles such as Halloween (1978 film) and Night of the Living Dead. More external information (such as behind the scenes, reception, etc) should be added if possible. A new one hasn't been decided yet. My suggestion would be to either work some more on Saw's article, or perhaps start a new collaboration.
Newsletter Challange Try to make the character articles more encyclopedic by making them less in-universe. See Jigsaw and Amanda's articles for guidance. Also see Jason Voorhees, which is a featured article. (Obviously there is more information on Jason available than the Saw characters, but it is worth looking at to see what's considered the best of the best.) Some of the plot articles seem to be overtly long. Without bowdlerizing them, maybe we could try to make them a bit shorter and concise. Try to invite more members to this project. If you know any Saw fans who are good with computers, invite them to Wikipedia. The more the merrier.

Hi, I really dont mind you comin to me for advice or help. I will always treat both sides fairly so you coming to me for help cannot be seen as you abusin admin tools. I cannot, however seem to find where the editor was insulting you. In the future if you find that somebody is repeatedly insulting or making personal attacks towards you, please notify them using the appropriate templates here here. After the final warning you can report them to WP:AIV or me. Just as a side note I would try to avoid edit such as those that you made on the 11th and 12th of October to the Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II article. I know that you was correct in your edits but the IP's edits were not seen as vandalism. It was more of a content dispute however he/she can still be reported for repeatedly adding that stuff if you warn him/her appropriatly. High School Musical

About your edit to High School Musical 3, I removed the text because of how it was written. I did not believe it belonged here on Wikipedia in that way.

Still on HSM, would you be able to maintain Portal:High School Musical for two weeks or so? I am on vacation, and cannot help with this until early Jan. All it is is simply changing the articles (located at "Portal:High School Musical/Selected Article [then numbers 1 through 5]",) and the featured picture and bio. All you are basically doing is going to this page, coping the lead (or a bit more if needed) of the 5 articles with the most votes, the image and biography with the most votes, as well as compling a Did You Know?, and placing it onto the portal.

• Articles are pasted onto Portal:High School Musical/Selected article/1, Portal:High School Musical/Selected article/2 and so on, up to Portal:High School Musical/Selected article/5
• Image goes onto Portal:High School Musical/Selected Picture
• Bio to Portal:High School Musical/Bio
• DYK can be editied by pushing Edit on it's box

The entries are then removed from the page. This is to be done on Mondays (next update is NYE). There is also all the vandal fighting that might need doing. Also, if you could please just take care of WP:HSM, that would also be nice. We are in line for the Wikiproject Report to be done on the HSM WP - if anyone contacts you - please just say to contact me after Jan 5. Not much of a newsletter for today...I just wanted to report that OfficialSaw.com's website has undergone a massive renovation and has added character profiles and trap descriptions and the like. Why am I telling you this? Because it appears that our Wikipedia articles have been used for the site! (Check out the House of Jigsaw history section for one example). So feel proud, knowing that the articles that you have worked on have garnered notice from the folks at LionsGate...

Halloween

JP, the Anon makes a point that "reimagining" isn't an official term, it's more or less a newly created term used by filmmakers who don't want their work judged purely on the idea that they "remade" something. At first, I would have kept it, because "reimagining" is Zombie's own words, but the term is used a few lines below when describing what Zombie did so I don't have any qualms about leaving "remake" as the official classification of the film, because it boils down to being a "remake". I think that if you really believe that the article should be "reimagining", and I'm willing to hear any arguments to persuade me one way or the other, then it should take place at the talk page of WP:MOSFILMS, as this is a style issue. Hi, don't mean to intrude, but I've noticed that you revert lots of garbage edits and for some reason avoid leaving messages to those who made them. Just in case if it's because of time it takes to find the right template, copy the title, etc… – this process is greatly simplified with the help of tools. Halloween

Well, whether it's a "remake" or a "reimaginging", it's still a "reboot". A reboot of a franchise can be either, or neither if that's the case. As for what Halloween is, I think it's more of a remake than anything, because it really does remake a good portion of Carpenter's original. Whereas, Friday the 13th is more of a reimagining, as this story isn't really reflective of the original one from 1980. It's a tricky term, and one that probably needs more discussing. You can start a discussion on the talk page if you wish.
