Toyota Cup players

G'day, I noticed quite a few of your new player articles on the new article watchlist, and being the past victim of the WP:ATHLETE devotees, I thought I'd give you a heads up first, by just tagging the articles. WP:ATHLETE is a guideline that basically says if you haven't played at a fully senior/professional level, then you aren't notable enough to have a page. I'm more into the AFL than league, and suffer this problem every year about the new draft picks, who obviously, being just drafted, haven't yet played professionally. Past AFDs have generally found in favour of keeping if there are decent references - not just a team list, or a local paper, or similar trivial mentions. Read WP:V, WP:GNG and the before mentioned athlete guideline, and try to get some references for the new pages, otherwise you might find a few more deletionist viewed people might start tagging the articles with WP:PROD or AFDs.
