Proposed deletion of Godfrey Poku

edit

The article Godfrey Poku has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Question

edit

It looks like you are mostly interested in British footballers. After being away from Wikipedia for 4 years, you come back to argue about putting the name of an alleged mass murderer on the page for the town where he lived. Why? Help me understand why this is important to you. Polycarpa aurata (talk) 17:15, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I know, having an interest in British footballers must make me a monster in your eyes. I understand now. I used to think Wikipedia was about facts, that's all. Incidentally I'm British. Jjjimg (talk) 17:26, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't care if you like football or not. It's just what you used to edit. I'm just trying understand what your interest is in this one page about a small town in a different country from yours. If read WP:BLP you will understand why that person can't be added to that page. So that's not happening, but I want to know why you think it's important. Polycarpa aurata (talk) 17:33, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oh right, likes football, must be a racist. That offends me. Stop sending me messages.

Jjjimg (talk) 17:50, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think what PA is saying is that since you're heavily invested in editing that page, which is kinda different from your usual interests. Regarding "I'm just trying understand what your interest is in this one page about a small town in a different country from yours", he's already explained that "I want to know why you think it's important." I don't think there's any attacking here, so perhaps we shouldn't assume intent so quickly. Cheers. Firestar464 (talk) 11:08, 17 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
