Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Rebecca I Perez

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Rebecca I Perez, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. creffett (talk) 12:40, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Jjdsmth. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Athaenara 16:41, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Request reason:

I was just about to change my draft and appeal to the notice. The article was not even in the main space. I don't understand why you deleted it. It's a draft. It's supposed to be changed. In addition, I don't believe it was promotional. I followed every guideline and my writing style was referenced based on other articles in the same niche. You are impending people from contributing to wikipedia. If you believe that it was promotional, you could have let me finish or rewrite my draft (THATS WHY IT IS A DRAFT IN THE FIRST PLACE). You just blocked me for no reason. The first notice I got clearly said I could edit my article and appeal.Jjdsmth (talk) 16:54, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Drafts are not immune from certain Wikipedia processes such as speedy deletion. Once tagged for speedy deletion, it can be deleted without delay or discussion if an administrator feels the given speedy deletion criteria is accurate. In this case, an administrator felt that it did, and I must concur, as it does little more than tell about the person. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must show with significant coverage in independent reliable sources that the subject meets Wikipedia's special definition of notability(in this case, WP:BIO). The sources you gave are not such sources; consisting of basic announcements, press release-type articles, and interviews. If you have some sort of relationship with Perez, you need to disclose it per WP:COI. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 21:20, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have disclosed it. I followed the guidelines. I'm payed to. You can look at my user page. I did that days ago! It explicitly says that "his user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by GOSS Magazine on behalf of GOSS Magazine for their contributions to Wikipedia." Please, let me finish the draft. How am I ever going to contribute to Wikipedia if you just delete the article draft immediately after I made it. And regarding the sources, I don't know why they don't fall under primary or secondary sources. They are realiable Montreal Indipendent Newspapers, Magazines, TV Stations and Radios. Individuals that are not totable will never get featured on any of the sources or get into the front cover of newspapers. Perez indeed has if you look at Montreal Times issues. Jjdsmth (talk) 02:12, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Having viewed the deleted draft: yes, that was blatant promotion. If you do not understand why, then writing for an encyclopedia is clearly not the career for you. Yunshui  11:54, 18 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
