Biomimetic crown new procedure to produce cheap lifelike crowns

edit

I am surprised that Kate Wishing thinks that biomimetic crows are not a new type of crowns. It is a new combination of biomimetics and crowns: crowns that are build up similar to nature instead of by a dental technician artist doing it in layers. Biomimetic crowns and bridges are getting more popular every day, and were developed by Jef van der Zel, a pioneer in dental CAD/CAM. Biomimetic crown is now directed to Crown (dental). However "crown" has nothing to do with new way of producing a crown with a natural build-up and new qualities. Pleas give my page the place it deserves in Dentistry. A valuable page that opens the eyes to this exiting bew area. Jef van der Zel — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 19:24, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Biomimetic crown and COI

edit

Hello. I redirected the article Biomimetic crown because the term does not seem to appear in any reliable secondary sources (see WP:MEDRS for our sourcing standards in this area). You should also read WP:COI. Writing about your own work is discouraged and must not be promotional. Thanks. KateWishing (talk) 18:09, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I do not agree, because biomimetics in designing a crown with Computer Aided Design is a new procedure in Dentistry

Biomimetics in crowns and bridges is a innovation

edit

Biomimetic crown was redirected to tha classical crown page, which describes the traditional way of producing crowns in the last 50 years. Biomimetic crown describes an innovation in looking at the build-up of crowns mimicking nature, instead of by a dental technician artist is doing in layer technique that requires enormous skill and experience. Biomimetic crowns and bridges copy the natural structure of real teeth with a dentin core and a glaze layer. This gives a product that copies the existing teeth instead of more or less copying the colour with numeroeus layers with different porcelain colors. Biomimetic crowns and bridges gain in high polularity, especially because of their natural appearance and biological behavior. They were invented by professor Jef van der Zel, a pioneer of CAD/CAM. Redirecting seems to loose a valuable new direction from the old techniques. I believe new developments should have a chance in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 19:38, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Zel00005, please stick to one account. I could not find any usable sources that use the term "biomimetic crowns" — even primary ones, and we generally require secondary sources for medical content. We can only cover medical innovations once they've been reported on by outside sources. Original research is not allowed on Wikipedia. KateWishing (talk) 21:03, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Biomemetic crown does not describe "original research" but the underlying principles and procedures of an innovative new crown and bridge buildup. Biomimetic crowns and bridges are a new way of producing lifelike crowns and bridges by copying the glaze and dentin structure of real teeth. To redirect this innovation in dentistry to the traditional crown technique that we know now for 50 years is ignoring this innovation that is gaining in popularity among both denists and patients. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 22:11, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have only one identity zel00005. Maybe Jef van der Zel was used by me some years ago, I only use zel00005

All images I have placed on wikipedia commons are 100% my copyright, Three crowns, Primero opalescense etc. all are my copyright. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 22:04, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Zel00005: Your claim of having only one identity is patently false. This account (Jef van der Zel (talk · contribs)) made its first contribution on 1 October 2015, and has made several contributions daily since then. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:16, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Biomimetic source

edit

That you ca not find original research sources in english is possible because the only english biomimetic crown text is in the PhD thesis of one of my students. The rest of the publications on biomimetic crowns are in dutch. Jef van der Zel — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 22:32, 6 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dental crowns and bridges

edit

The article Dental crowns and bridges has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The material in this article is already covered at Crown (dentistry) and Bridge (dentistry).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I am disappointed in wikipedia. To add to the crown page would be same as navigation on a horse cart. I do not find any clear statement about CAD/CAM or biomimetics. My article is a crossover between biomimetics and crown. The people who have made a page on biomimetic dentistry think that crowns made of zirconia and porselain is a crime, and should replaced by composite, which is not stable and leaks and leads to endodontical treatment. So biomimetic crowns and bridges will be refused in that group. Another problem is political. Biomimetic crowns are liflike without the intevention of the dental technician. For dentistry this is a game changer, which could compete with the millions of crowns made in sweat shop in China for the same price. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 16:45, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I am disappointed in wikipedia that cannot handle disruptive innovations like biomimetic crowns and bridges: mass production of lifelike retorations without a dental technician against a very low price.Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zel00005 (talkcontribs) 16:56, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia can handle articles about such topics, but we already have the concept discussed at CAD/CAM dentistry. Creating a new article for the purpose of promoting your own involvement in the field is disallowed. If there is information that can be used to expand the existing article, please do so. Two identities

edit

What would be the purpose for me to have two identities. Jef van der Zel has been used years ago. I have only one identity zel00005. Zel00005 (talk) 21:16, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Re directed

edit

My contribution has been re-directed to Crown (dental) and Dental CAD/CAM, where this subject does not belong because it is disruptive for Croen (dental) and dental CAD/CAM. So my contribution is a hopeless endeavor, and therefore people are deprived of new ways in Crowns and dental CAD/CAM, just a pity.Zel00005 (talk) 21:21, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
