Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you indicated that you accidently added the same edit to two different talk pages. If you are having problems, please let me know if I can be of service. Cheers. --Storm Rider (talk) 18:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! I was working on some college work switching between pages and got the articles a little mixed up. I was wondering one thing, what does the UTC stand for after your name? Am I suppose to use a similar indicator? --JazzFrog66 11:49, 19 July 2007

Hi JazzFrog66,
I chanced upon your talk page while looking at the list of pages with recent changes. Storm Rider may or may not still have your talk page on his watchlist, so I'll stick my nose in. UTC is "Coordinated Universal Time" (see the UTC article; don't forget, you're on Wikipedia, where all human knowledge is stored!). It's just part of your time stamp. Are you adding your signature by typing it in each time, or are you using tildes? Forgive me if you know this already, but you can sign your posts on talk pages by just typing ~~~~ at the end; the software automatically adds your name and the date, including the UTC. Even easier, for truly lazy people like me, there's a signature button at the top of the editing window (next to the W with a line thru it) that adds the tildes for you.
If you're relatively new, WP:Welcome has a lot of useful information, even for people that aren't brand new. And, as Storm Rider said above, you can always find the talk page of someone who seems to know what they're talking about, and 99 times out of 100, they'll be more than happy to help you out. And if you really need help, you can add {{helpme}} to this page, describe below it what your problem is, and it will put your talk page on a list of pages experienced users monitor. As long as you don't overuse it, people replying to a {{helpme}} tag are, by definition, happy to help. --barneca (talk) 17:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
In fact, I'll add an impersonal template right below this that has a lot of handy links. Enjoy. --barneca (talk) 17:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

Hello, Jazzfrog66! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to facilitate your involvement. Happy editing! MBisanzBot (talk) 14:18, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
