Help me!

edit

Please help me with...I wanted to create a page for my organizations. But it's a conflict of interest. I thought I saw directions on how to submit a request for such a page to be created independently. I submitted the names of my organizations (Food Export Association of the Midwest USA and Food Export-Northeast) under the non-profit category with reference links. Not sure what to do next... Reply to {{help me}} request: First I would suggest that you read this article about how to get an article for your organization. You have done the first part of the steps suggested there, but there are other things you could do. Like creating a draft in your userspace. That will give other editors a jumping off point to helping. I would also be happy to answer any other questions you have here on this page. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  (User:Wtwilson3)  — 17:42, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I have made updates to my page as requested. Please let me know if there's anything else I need to do to get my pages created. JasmineDScott (talk) 18:43, 2 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

It would be a great help if you could point out reliable sources that are independent of the organizations, such as newspapers or reputable magazines discussing them in some detail. What you currently have provided looks like statements by their partners or organizations out to promote US food exports and the organizations involved in them (plus a Wikipedia article, but Wikipedia does not consider itself a reliable source). Thank you. In addition, our sister organization, SUSTA, has a page in which several of the sources we sited are listed as resources for their page. Just not sure why they are not ok for our pages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_United_States_Trade_Association. Thanks. JasmineDScott (talk) 14:54, 18 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • I'll have a look at this tomorrow. Cheers! bd2412 T 20:51, 19 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
For now, I have moved the material from your userpage to Draft:Food Export Association of the Midwest USA‎, formatted it substantially in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines, and added a reference regarding Farm Bill funding from a reliable source in print. I will work more on it tomorrow. Cheers! bd2412 T 01:56, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have incorporated the above news stories into the draft. Please go through and fill in webpage titles wherever I have put "(insert title of page here)". Ping me and let me know when this is done. Cheers! bd2412 T 03:39, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I went ahead and finished the draft, and moved it to article space, at Food Export Association of the Midwest USA‎. Cheers! bd2412 T 14:49, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! So is this now live on Wikipedia? Also we have content for our other organization, Food Export USA-Northeast which should have its own page as well. It was on the same draft page as the MW content. Can we get that one up too? JasmineDScott (talk) 14:51, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Hang on a moment, I will begin a new draft. bd2412 T 15:10, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much!!!!!

here are some articles and the content for the NE page: http://deltafarmpress.com/government/lack-farm-bill-places-record-exports-jeopardy, http://www.southcoasttoday.com/article/20150313/NEWS/150319654/101236/Advocate, http://www.masslive.com/opinion/index.ssf/2011/03/editorial_new_englands_agricul.html

Food Export USA-Northeast (Food Export-Northeast)[1] is a private, non-profit association that offers services to help U.S. companies promote their Northeastern food and agricultural products in foreign markets. To carry out this mission, Food Export-Northeast works in conjunction with its 10 member state agricultural promotion agencies, interns, In-Market Representatives, USDA, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), FAS Overseas Offices and other member based organizations. Food Export-Northeast offers a variety of programs and services to help exporters of Northeastern food and agricultural products begin or expand their international sales. Food Export-Northeast's export strategy includes three primary components: Exporter Education, Market Entry and Market Promotion. The objective for these programs is to provide U.S. exporters resources to pursue the export market for their food and agricultural products. [2]

Food Export-Northeast is one of four State Regional Trade Groups (SRTGs) that assists companies with export promotion. Three other regional groups, Food Export Association of the Midwest USA, Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) [3] and Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) provide similar services for companies based or sourcing product from outside of the Food Export-Northeast 10-state region.[4]

Market Access Program

edit

Food Export-Northeast is one of several organizations that administer its programs each year through Market Access Program (MAP) funding. [5]

Strategic Alliance

edit

Since April of 2000, Food Export-Northeast has undertaken a strategic alliance with Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export-Midwest). This is a relationship in which both organizations collaborate on activities, markets, programs and services to greatly expand the available resources for U.S. companies in their regions.[6]

Programs and Services

edit

Food Export-Northeast programs and services are designed to educate U.S. suppliers about exporting, find new customers and increase their volume of export sales.

Outreach and Export Education

Educational programs provide information and education in a variety of formats such as a helpline, printed materials, seminars, webinars and online resources.

Market Entry

Services that help U.S. suppliers find the right markets and reach the right buyers and importers.

Market Promotion

Financial and promotional support to help create international awareness of products made in the U.S.[7] JasmineDScott (talk) 15:40, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
