License tagging for Image:SantoroSanto.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:SantoroSanto.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Thanks for commenting, discussion is very important here, the article was locked recently for revert warring, and if the reverting continues it will be locked again, at the moment there are multiple reverts occurring and it is better to ask on the talk page for opinions as from other editors for what you want to add or remove. Try to apprecate that there are other editors that hold the opposite opinion of this guy to you and both sides of the story should be included in the article. Thanks. It looks like you have been involved in a long term edit war at Edward Wyckoff Williams. I see you're working on the talk page of the article to get a consensus going, that's good. The other user, who was impersonating your account with the addition of a 2 had been blocked in case you didn't know. They will probably come back as an anon IP again, or as a newly created account once the autoblock expires. Another place to post for help if you run into problems like this again on a biography of a living person is the biographies of living people noticeboard. It's a good place to get uninvolved people to help build a consensus on biography articles where there aren't enough editors to the article to sort one out without additional input. --GraemeL (talk) 20:22, 16 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
